My favorite place to be temporarily snowbound would be a bookstore with a cafe. Hot chocolate and books; what better combination?

I remember one blizzard after much harrowing driving being stranded at the ski area.

Seriously wrong! Rose married a husband who is occasionally 5 years old, as she is on occasion. And a comic book store would make a great place to hang out if you are into comics, should try it sometime.

Man, john abrams, apparently you haven’t been to the comic store in awhile. SOme of them are definitely NOT 2 year old material!

Comic book shops were fine before comics cost $3 apiece.

Unless they live on premises, the comic book people might appreciate it if you’d LEAVE so they could go home, too.

No place is an “ideal place to be temporarily snowbound” with Clem!

My place to be stuck in a blizzard would be Barnes and Nobles—most of them have a Starbucks inside

Comic books are for everyone, not just toddlers! I’m in my late 20s and I could easily join comicaholics anonymous. I buy/read about 8-12 comic books per month.

That would work for me, too, dkendraf.

A Barnes and Noble with a convenient Starbucks… LOL

My sister and I were at the mall once when it started to snow so much that you couldn’t see very far, and since she didn’t want to drive in it, we saw a movie instead.

At one time I was reading 22 titles a month. That’s when they were still about a dollar each. Even when I was in my early 30’s, early 2000’s, I was still reading 15 titles a month, easily.

Oh no, snowbound in a place that promotes literature and reading in both adults and children! How horrible!

Once during a sudden drownpour at a Renaissance festival we luckily ducked into the same shop as a trio of minstrels. So they did an unscheduled performance.

Anything that tells a story is literature, and can be great literature.

Yes, Barnes and Noble would be the place for me to find shelter during a snowstorm.
kittylover2 almost 13 years ago
For those of us who do not know about the store, please explain. Thanks, I would really like to know.

Y’all got it wrong! The best place to be snowbound is in an airline seat, on an airplane that just took off for … Hawaii, Tahiti, Jamaca, or any other place tropical! The next best place would be to “be rollin’ in my sweet baby’s arms!”

Many years ago in Norfolk, VA we got hit with a major snowstorm (in an area that doesn’t see much snow). Many people got stuck at the local arena…with the circus. To this day, it’s called the Circus Blizzard.

hoho, that does sound like an ideal setting!
