Sam is frowning mightily in Panel 3 after witnessing Tracy use a disposable cup to drink a tiny bit of water. âCouldnât he bring in a permanent cup like I do? Itâs clear who cares about the turtles and stuff.â
Okay, no fingerprints on file for the stiff. However if they go looking through the missing persons reports a lot of the people there will have fingerprints on file â from time in the service, or many jobs require them â and I imagine there are security checks for anyone who is a financial officer for a big company â and the fingerprints on file for the missing person canât match the those on the body. (Not sure how many times Iâve been fingerprinted, sometimes for jobs where Iâve gone, âWhy the heck do they care?â)
They are now IDing unknown victims from cold cases decades old by getting the DNA, going on ancestry sites, and finding relatives based on the DNA. Letâs see if Tracyville is in the 21st century.
Thatâs a pretty smallâŚwait! Is that a SHOT GLASS?! Has Sippinâ Sam finally driven Tracy to DRINK! Will he proceed to future crime scenes doing the dreaded âwibbly-wobblyâ?! Will scandalized mothers steer their impressionable children well away from Our Hero??? Will Tracy break off if a heated gun battle to chase pink pachyderms?!?!
Tracy must have been on a bender last night. He looks a bit hungover in P1 leaning on the water cooler with a wrinkled shirt and unkempt hair.
Still, the variety of poses and POV angles makes these Talking Head sessions more tolerable and much less static. Once again Charles is the hero who is saving the day.
A lot of people have never been fingerprinted. Maybe if you were in the military, got a handgun carry permit, or been arrested would you have been fingerprinted.
âYou telling me this guy died poor or alone, or maybe under strange circumstances so his family doesnât know heâs dead and canât claim him? Sounds like a real piece of human garbage to me. Shame heâs dead so I canât kill him. I take consolation in the fact that I can still shoot him.â
1- SAM: Moonlighting I can understand but delivering heavy bubbler refills is a tough gig for an old guy, isnât it?
2- DT: Keeps me fit. Plus I get to drink all I want so â perks! glug glug
3- DT: I think I can get you on as a bottle cleaner if you want. You get to drink the dregs left in the bottle so â perk? SAM: Nah. If I want water, Iâll just drink a Coors â same thing.
DT: True. I guess they made âNear-Beerâ during prohibition and just kept on with that recipe. SAM: Yeah â Coors sux! DT: BIG TIME!

âIf heâs a solid citizen, though⌠how come no oneâs claimed him?â
He doesnât have anyone to claim him?
Anyone who could claim him doesnât yet realize somethingâs happen to him?
Plenty of reasonable answers to your question, Mr. Tracy.

Better yet, if heâs not involved in any criminal activity, why did someone find it necessary to steal his body before he could be identified???
