The link to the older comment has no graffiti, but I finally worked out that it must have said “Impeach Nixon”.

Of course they’re the same bricks. See the the truck marked ‘White House Storage’? I can’t believe we taxpayers paid to have those stored for 45 years! We could have sold them to an up-and-coming third world government, like we do with used military hardware.

Hopefully the same end results.

It is hard to compare the Nixon impeachment process to the resident’s impeachment because while both were paranoid the IQ and conscience of the two are so very different.

I remember this wall c. 1974 …

Breaking the law is breaking the law. Biggest difference Nixon did not have Faux Nuwes and Neo-con radio to back him up. It’s shame the DTs will probably won’t impeached in the Senate, which means the next president, who desires to do so, can commit any crime and get away with it.So long Constitution/U.S., you had a good run.

nice throwback to the new president Ford strip. It must be strange, having that much of a history in your strip to play with.

Cartoonists have so much more room to work in now, than they did back in 74. Pretty amazing how the genre has changed and grown and yet still honors their traditions.

I am tired of hearing people complain about Trump impeachment fatigue, FFS, drink a Red Bull and get ready to stand up for your country! 50% of the people support Trump impeachment, no more than 35% ever supported Clinton impeachment.

I was wondering when The Treasonweasel would haul King Richard the Nix’s Wall out of storage and hide behind it. All we can do is HOPE FOR THE SAME RESULT!

I can see “Nixon” in the red letters on the bricks, but I need help deciphering the rest. Can anyone sort them out for me, please?

Many folks today either weren’t around or don’t remember that in 1974 the Republican Party still had some vestiges of moral responsibility to their country, the government they worked for and the people they represented. There were still some honorable Republicans in the U.S. Senate in those days. Many had fought in World War II and could recognize a despot when the saw him. They would never have been so craven as to sell their souls, abandon their duty, or pander in such a venal way to a sociopathic megalomaniac who cares nothing about his country or its people, except for the adulation and flattery they can provide his tortured ego.

Richard Nixon was a lot of things – and indeed much of his political thinking was influenced by Roy Cohen who was also Trump’s mentor – but one thing Richard Nixon was not … he was not a traitor to his country! His patriotism may have been misguided but he unquestionably loved his country.

The same cannot be said for that miserable piece of self-serving excrement currently residing at 1600 Pennsyvania Ave.

Typical of the democrats, can’t even follow simple directions to put the wall together correctly. But then it’s another Gary dig. You’re losing your touch Gary, gotta try harder. Lol

It’d be funnier if the guys putting up the wall looked more Mexican.

Speaking of memories, I seem to recall that, after Nixon took himself out, Trudeau ran a set of views of the same wall being taken apart — and, presumably, placed in storage until a future need. In the last frame on that series, we could see the sun shining over a clean, shiny White House. (Of course, memories sometimes turn out to be projections….)

how long has it been since Trudeau lost his sense of humor and become “woke”. This strip is no longer funny nor pertinent to our society.
