Supposedly Tracey is Gordon’s friend/buddy and yet he doesn’t want to see a movie with her and he thinks going out to spend time with her would be like going to the “Temple of Doom”? I am beginning to doubt whether Tracey and Gordon are actually friends.
It looks like Tracey had a secret crush on Gordon. This pretend date worked to her advantage. Hope they have a good time and there is a burger and fries and maybe a chocolate shake after the movie.
I don’t know what is up with Gordo. Tracey is really cute. I would’ve been asking her out before Allison. I had an “Allison” in my school and, yes, she was hot, but WAYYY out of my reach. I never had any interest in playing football.
Gordo, Tracy is a “Catch,” reel her in before she slips the hook, and swims away. Besides, you really don’t want to go see a good date movie with one of your best friends?
Perhaps I am going against the grain – but I have always dated friends, not became friends after dating. So go with it Gordon, you never know how things work out.
Since we are making Indiana Jones references, this could be a good strip…
Gordon is in a temple, he carefully grabs a golden idol. Suddenly a boulder rolls and he makes a run for it. A door is about to close him in, but Gordon slides under in time. He sees he is hatless, quickly grabs for his cap before the door closes. He is then chased by Lawrence (being a bastard child of jungle people, this makes sense), chucking a spear and wearing a loincloth. Gordon gets on to a plane to make his escape, fleeing an angry Lawrence.
Lawrence{brandishing a spear in anger}: “Ooga booga looga wooga!”
Since yesterday was Pearl Harbor Day (let us never forget), there could be a movie which stars Gordon as the hero, Tracey as the woman he loved, and Brian Enjo as the pilot who destroyed the USS Arizona.

Panel 3: Gordon. Smarmy, weasely, squishy, dumpy, schlubby, scheming, no chin… just like Frank Burns.

As drawn, he’s kind of dorky. However, she’s rather cute. But more importantly, she has a personality, and she thinks ahead of him.

Come on Gordo!. You aimed high and accidentally hit a bulls eye on the wrong target. Own it and go with it.

I don’t think I ever got to see the beginning of their romance. This is so sweet. :-)

Never knew a guy who played the “just friend card” . That is strickly a girl thing and no male will ever understand what it means.

Good lord, Gordon, stop being so self-centered and go on the date! You might actually have fun and appreciate Tracey.

Gordon had better work better on his relationship with Tracy! He has a great friend and a girl friend!
locake about 4 years ago
Why would she even want to go out with Gordon?? Tracey could do much better than this thoughtless jerk.

Am I wrong? I seem to remember that Gordon married Tracy. They become spectacularly successful.
