That can work with a smart dog. One example: youtube. com/watch?v=vE8Lc9F-0Bg

Just takes time and love to train your pooch, mine knows at least 200 words, can’t even spell it out anymore in front of her, she understands that also. And she will jump into my arms when I call her.

Dog: No idea what she’s doing
.but if I stand here and wag my tail enough, maybe she’ll do it again :)

Now they show dogs running up walls, jumping in the air and catching balls. But it’s probably AI

Oh great, just wait until April tries to house break Edgar, after all, she is already a streaker from past experience.

As my grandfather used to say, "If you want to train a dog; FIRST you need to be smarter than the dog

I have had to step over the mountainous log , one the ground, when my horses see it as Mt Everest and address it accordingly until I show them otherwise.

    Or this

Elly is pushing Edgar out the door

Elly: Come on, come on! You have to go outside to do
you know
.your business.

John: Elly, the experts say that if you want an animal to do something you should do it first. You know, to show them how.

Elly{glowering}: I am not going to be pooping in the yard!

John: Well, excuse me. Never knew you were so rigid and formal, Your Highness!

April did a good job. Especially in the third panel, where Brian and Dawn would sing “Lorne, Lorne, Lorne down the liver!”

In real life – at least in our house – the demonstration would be accompanied by the copious anointment with tongues.

I’ve always believed that children can talk to animals and understand them. It’s not until 10 and then they succumb to the older, wiser ones. And we as adults, screw it up.

Chest burster in panel 2. April’s head is rising from her belly as if she had no neck and her knees are directly attached to her belly. No wonder Edgar can’t follow April’s instructions. He is too freaked out.
