Maybe there is a reason for the expression, “dumb clucks”?

I pity any newspaper reader who missed yesterday.

I would be even more concerned about the horses in the background that are even nearer the tornado.

Cluelessness? The Dick Cheney of unknowns.

Never feel sorry for chickens. They know what they did!

Though not to the clueless.

But tornados are very narrow. Chances are it will miss them completely (but it’s good to take cover just in case). Not sure why someone just looking at the painting would be scared.

What if we spent the last ten years warning, begging, and pleading with the chicken to not elect the tornado? Sorry, I digress.

I wonder how many people (besides me) did internet searches of this painting because of this comic strip?

This arc is an extended metaphor but I’m having trouble thinking of just who it refers to or what events caused that destructive wind force. Yeah. R-i-i-i-g-h-t.

I am clueless about what they are talking about. I wish there was some system by which I could look up the painting in question…

That last line doesn’t make me feel better about the world.

When a bird is taken high up in the air it will fly down later. Nothing to worry about.

Clueless – ignorance is bliss. When I was young we raised chickens and my mom would ask my uncle her brother to kill one for supper but before he did he’d call me and would tuck the head under the wing and the chicken would walk around like that until the head was untucked from the wing lol

Family is headed to a safe storm cellar. My family and I ran to the basement a few times.
