Look at all those beautiful leaf piles, Garfield. You can play in them and also use them as kitty litter.

Garfield was either playing some lasagna cooking game or he was looking at the comics.

For some reason this year , climate change?, the leaves , in NJ, are falling quicker than I can remember.

The amber leaves changed color as they fell. I didn’t know they did that.

All those naked trees, but there was hardly a strip show!!

Not enough rain around here so basically brown and down. However, The Count and Countess are Thankful for the color and pleasant weather we did have. :)

I once had a Singaporean friend at Uni visit my parents with me and she was astounded by seeing leaves on the ground cos she said that at home they’re always cleared away before anyone can notice

Fall is going by quick.

Savor fall while it lasts. In my experience, it lasts about two or three weeks before winter sets in.

Yes something strange happened, this year. Fall, Fell fast. One day every thing was green and the next day all the leafs were brown and on the ground. Hate to think how winter will come?

(groan) now comes the raking…..

Since Autumn is my favorite time of year, this one makes me sad. We are almost to the last panel stage here. Sigh…

Who’s gonna rake all that?

Just like today’s kids…and some parents as well.

This is a little bit similar to this one strip back in the 80s where Jon and Garfield noticed that the day was really nice enough for them to enjoy it, so Jon had to find his swim trunks, some suntan lotion, and made a picnic lunch, before he and Garfield were prepared to enjoy their ‘perfect day’, only for it to be nightfall by the time they got out the door.

Garfield is addicted to his phone. Just like so many humans.

We seem to have more than our share of “cell phone zombies.”

Here in Wisconsin, even after the leaves have fallen, the ground can look petty spectacular.

We are finally seeing the leaves fall where I live.

Fall came quickly there.

This happened here. We were having a gorgeous autumn, with splendid colors on the trees. And then we had two very, very windy days, and some rain. Now we have soggy, muddled colors on the ground.

I love seeing the colors, but I also love bare trees. The beauty, intricacy and complexity of tree branches never cease to amaze me.

Fall fell.

All I see there is a huge quantity of that annual torture known as raking leaves.
