I am rather surprised that Tiffany is back with Kidz 1st, but this is fortunate for Luann, who is clearly not focussed on the kids first but rather on studying for her tests. Hurray for Miss Tiffany, who in the eyes of the kids has got it right!

geezz, by the time I was 7, I already read all the encyclopedias at home, and I knew the Mona Lisa…………… it appears countless times in Cosmo and other mags for women, so even Tiff should know it, specially when she knew about cosmetology of ancient Egypt………… I think both Tiff and Lue are assigned kids of the same grade, so they did say bye to the kids from last years, and these are the new kids of that certain grade

As far as I’m concerned, there is no reason for Tiffany the Terrible to be ANY where near this comic strip! Or anywhere else for that matter.

You can get college credit for recognizing artworks that absolutely everyone on the planet knows? Get into a real college, Luann! Academic standards at yours are dismal.

I wonder how much Frank and Nancy are having to dig into their savings to pay for Luann to take courses that “teach” you the names of famous works or art that 99% of the population knows anyway, and calls it “art history”. Do you suppose the kids will find it more interesting when Luann brings in her textbooks for her courses in organic chemistry and partial differential equations? Oh, who are we kidding. We know that Luann’s next textbook is “Things That Are Green”.

The only law Congress could pass these days would be one to pay itself. It does nothing of value for the rest of us; why on earth expect it to pay attention to trivia like Chia Pets?

This really looks to me like Luann is just visiting and has engaged her small friends in her life, to the betterment of all.

“.. if misplaced…” ^Though ultimately (as compared to the real world) such discussions would seem trivial and “minutia”, it really isn’t. Such is the basis for “exercise of thought”, which is “working out the mental muscle”, which is the basis for taking up Debate in school (even on the smallest topic), and is also a good way to “build up fellow feeling” for our fellow man. It’s a good way to know how others think, and can help in relation to finding more understanding and empathy with others. – Though of course, some don’t care to relate to others, at all… whether on a forum or “in real life”….

Knowledge is a treasure to share ,and a tool to build up with, not an item to “horde and flaunt” and “tear down” with….

Don’t forget that unlike Tiffany, Quill is not only involved in the “on stage” part, but also the production aspects. Tiffany would be the actress with a day job or two, Quill would be the “whole kit and caboodle” when it comes to theater. – Also, Tiffany goes out for gigs periodically, which also shows she does have work, but such work isn’t as involved as Quill’s (who again is immersed in theater, while Tiffany is more of the “face looking for a place” sort of actress/model)….

Also, to add: it bears out that Quill “lives and breathes” acting, while Tiffany just “breathes” it. Quill’s whole passions are centered around theatre/songwriting, and takes classes, in addition to having direct work/study, and preparations. Tiffany is an actress/model taking classes and periodic gigs, but hoping to be “discovered”… Which is what she said, in a short and succinct way, when she explained to Luann that she wants to improve her acting ability, which is the main reason why she’s here…. she works hard at it, but this is her “work study”, while Quill’s is of a more direct nature….

She is commenting on what she thinks is the “flaw” of Lisa in the art work. I also think she is (perhaps without Luann realizing it) goading Luann a bit with the “eybrow” answer because she thinks learning to name paintings of famous artists is pretty simple and obvious.
