Will Gunther be able to tell Bernice that he doesn’t know anything about that party he doesn’t know anything about? Will he be able to tell that same story to Bets? My money is on “No.”
I think Gunth & Tiff are friends. Best would have been for Tiff to say, “I’m going somewhere else – don’t rat me out.” After all it’s not Gunther’s place to monitor Tiffany’s whereabouts. However Tiff did conjure up a good excuse – pretty clever.
Yesterday, Tiffany denied that there was no party. Today, she admits that there is a party and Bernice was not invited. Gunther decided that he does not know anything and to walk away from Tiffany. Tells Tiffany that Bernice is a true Friend.
Don’t worry about failing grades, or how your going to pay for your dorm room, credit card bills, or even Ann Eiffel. Go have a big old time tonight and sweat the serious stuff tomorrow, when it’s too late.
Besides, I want to see the look on Stefani Birdbrain’s face when YOU show up at Kip’s door.
Ummm… Tiff is sure talking very loudly. First she says that there’s no party, now she admits that there is a party, but Bernice isn’t invited (true enough). And she’s concerned that Bernice’s feeling will be sooooo hurt (big lie!).
I’m not entirely sure what Gunth will tell Bernice. Bernice: “Well? Is Tiff coming in?” Gunther: “I don’t know anything.” Bernice: “What? Why are you playing the Sgt. Schultz routine? (suspicions raised), C’mon, Gunther, spit it out… what’s going on?”
The week is still young yet, and there are still many ways that all this can run off the rails. Hopefully in some amusing fashion.
“Bernice, I don’t know anything.” Yeah. That makes sense, Gunther. I mean, I feel as though in the real world, someone would say “What do you mean? What is it you don’t know?” You know nothing, Jon Snow. Let Tiffany go to the stupid party. It’s not like there’s gonna be beer there.
Gunther; I thought you had stopped being so gullible. Especially when it comes to Tiffany. Maybe Bets can explain things to him-if/when she stops making out with you, and taking selfies.
If Tiffany doesn’t have the discipline to study, then she’s never going to be able to do the hard work that comes with owning your own business. She needs to either dedicate herself to reaching her goal or drop out and stop wasting her time and her father’s money.
If this was Three’s Company, Jack would tell his girlfriend that Chrissy was going to a party but not to say anything about it to Janet because Janet wasn’t invited, and Janet would overhear the conversation.
As ZM says above the week is still young. The troubling thing is that Tiffany told a lie, a dumb lie given how close both Bernice and Bets are, both smart, and both suspicious, and what she already told Bernie in the hallway, but she still might end up studying. Very rueful if she does, but personally troubled. Or not. If she does go to the Blacklit party, will drama with Stefi arise? Like I said the week is still young.
An unfortunate decision process from Tiffany at this point in time. It is so very likely to cause her to stumble further at this point into more hardship.
Nothing wrong with going to party and having some fun… but this is not likely the ONE she should be going to….. all the facets are in place for this particular party scenario to backfire on so many different levels that it really should be having alarm bells clanging loudly in Tiffany’s mind.
I could imagine Tiffany going to the party and finding out it isn’t her scene anymore. When you make several little changes over time, you can wake up one day and find that you have a changed a lot without realizing it.
LOL, the old-timey acting trope of “flinging arm across one’s eyes, throwing head back, and cranking up the waterworks” because her “friend” (Bernice) wasn’t invited to a party? Shouldn’t that raise anyone’s suspicions? Given Bernice’s popularity (LOL), there must have been dozens, if not hundreds of parties that she hadn’t been invited to!
There’s still a chance that Bets or Bernice will intervene. But if Tiff does goes to the party, I hope she gets ignored and eventually realizes what kind of people belong to the Hall A gang.
Gunther is well organized, lives at home, eats his meals at home, has a private room, has free time for a girlfriend and doesn’t need a job.Tiffany who has been living and attending school on Daddy’s DIME, is learning new skills (1) needs a job, (2) needs to study ,(3) needs to prioritize her time and (4) learn to control her desires in order to get her goals of being independent and a tycoon like her Daddy.
Tiffany is a Wild Thing. What else would you expect with her lack of a proper upbringing? To her credit she is not in jail or pregnant. Gunther wants to be an engineer, but he’s not one yet. Tiffany wants to be a successful business woman, but she’s not one yet. I saw an ad for L’Oreal. Girls like Tiff keep L’Oreal in business. They are good for the economy. Girls like Bernice and Luann look like pale 11 year olds and are driving us to global economic catastrophic doom.
