That doesn’t make sense… why wouldn’t they have just made sure to chat after class?

Piro would have still wanted to give Luann his message, to pass on to Bernice,and Luann would be curious what his real name was.

Bernice didn’t seem too interested about Piro being back in the picture. She went from a flying through rainbows crush to indifferent.. with just one bad kiss.

As for ‘which of them is most annoying?’ …we ALL know the answer to that one. LOL

Luann or Piro. Piro or Luann. Hmmm… like flour or corn tortillas from Old El Paso (feed your fiesta), ¿por qué no los dos?

More annoying, Bernice. Unless you’re including yourself in that question.

And next week we pivot back to Tiffany and the broken window leaving the mystery of the vanishing Piro never to be answered.

Kind of a neutral response from Bernice. Disappointing. Sounds like she has some residual anger over his disappearance. I just don’t believe that it is all over between Bernice and Not-The-Piro!

We are once again stymied about what kind of story Luann wrote. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow for a hint to where this arc may be going.

Why does Bernice even spend time with Luann?

Puddles looks happy and Mostro looks well. Both good things.

I know Bernice is annoying but i do see her point.

I have figured out what is wrong with Bernice. She is practicing bad Feng Shui and it has totally messed up her aura. The foot of her bed is pointed towards the door, and that is known as the undesirable “Coffin Position”, the “Death Position”, or the “Mortuary Position”.

One of y’all needs to break it to her.

Actually, Bernice’s reaction follows her repressed character perfectly: I do not believe her sarcasm or lack of interest for a 1/100th of a nanosecond. Luann did get motivated/stimulated to write a steamy bodice-ripper though. As I always say, “await developments, or not”

Luann did not seem to remember accurately her conversation with Piro, shown on Jan21 and Jan23. She could have relayed her sense that Piro was interested to reconnect with Bernice, that his real name was not Piro, and that he initiated the questions about her specifically and about her wellbeing. Apparently he still tends to disappear unexpectedly. No one responding here has reported any explanation of why he suddenly disappeared previously. One might wonder if part of his mystery is that he receives unexpected communiques via cellphone that demand his immediate attention elsewhere — whether they represent family illness or other personal demands, or whether he works undercover for a government intelligence or law enforcement agency. Perhaps he even observed something about someone in the class whom he has been surveilling clandestinely, and rushed off to report on it. All sorts of intrigue is possible. The undercover possibility could also explain why his real name is not Piro, as well as why he suddenly disappears and why he could not previously become seriously involved with Bernice. Soo… what might have changed that he initiated the conversation with Luanne about Bernice, indicating that he hadn’t forgotten her and that he was still interested in her?

Oh.

So now We also don’t know what Starhead’s message was to Bernice.

What’s that make now? “Unanswered Question number 1,553?”

I kinda lost count after NOT finding out what broke Tiff’s window. ;-)

Survey: How are you pronouncing Piro’s name? Is it PIE-ro, or PEER-o?

Probably not the reaction Luann expected from cold Bernice. But I like seeing how Luann immediately went to tell her friend who she met, sure that she would like to know. Piro continues to be a mystery, I hope Luann can find out the story of this elusive and charming character. I also hope Luann tells Bernice that she likes Piro because I want to see if her reaction will be as cold as now. It’s fascinating how comes naturally to Bernice to be unpleasant.

Pedantic Bernice should know the correct phrase is “more annoying” when considering two people.

Judging by today’s frames, seems like the creative writing class has had little to do with any writing, or Luann’s aspirations to write. Just a way for GnK to sneak Piro in on a surprise reprise back into Lu&Bern’s lives, even if only for a few days. Hope this does not carry over into next week.

After all this time? While Luann has been in college for years, real time, what is she in strip time, a sophomore? a junior? After all this strip time was probably a couple months.

In some ways you can’t blame Bernice for her reaction; it’s like saying to someone “well i had something really important to tell you but now i don’t know what it is”; dangle obvious bait in front of someone only to snatch it away. That said, if Piro really wanted to communicate with Bernice he could have gotten her e-mail address either directly from Luann (that would be quick and easy) or a Mooney directory.

Ann Eiffel usually doesn’t ghost until she’s cleaned out some dupe’s bank account. And most of them say she was worth it. Eat your hearts out, haters. You should be so lucky. I ❤️ Ann Eiffel!

What did Piro ever see in Bernice in the first place? I mean, she’s so obnoxious, rude, narcissistic and unpleasant that she makes Pepper Ann look like Sarah Crewe.

At this point Bernice, I’d say it’s a toss up.

The fact that Bernice just attacked Piro as annoying for no reason whatsoever kinda kills the whole “she still feels something for him” theory, doesn’t it?

And Luann once again showing why her parents won’t trust her with the simplest of tasks.

Piro never asked Luann to give Bernice a message. Just if she was able to give her a message. I don’t think Piro had an actual message for Bernice when he talked to Luann. He has to think of what he wants to say to Bernice.

(Unless she’s putting up a front) when Bernice loses interest in someone they really become irrelevant, don’t they? And I would have to vote for Luann being the most annoying person this time. “He was going to give you a message but I never got the message to give to you so – PSYCHE!” And was the plan going to be Luann relaying messages back and forth between them instead of just contacting each other directly? Wierd.

I get it now! Piro is trying to teach B a lesson on what it feels like to be ghosted, the way she ghosted him. But she never learns, so will she ever learn this lesson? Nope, she’s just going to go on ghosting people.

Hmmm, is this all Luann will tell Bernice? Nothing of his asking about her, having a “real” name, starting a new life? Or will she keep this info secret. Unless he drops out of class, she will see him again.

Piro disappeared. That was the message.

Luann sets it up like there’s a message and then says there’s no message. I think she was dropped on her head as a baby.
