You can get those suits now, the problem is that they require a water tank, pump system to circulate the water, a heat exchange system and power supply. Not something to easily where on a day-to-day basis and in most situations but IIRC NASA uses them in spacesuits. just like monty you get a tear in a line and the system fails. a quick search and you can get a vest version fairly easly for $300 or so with a backpack for the required equipment.
That’s not his invention. The surgeons at our hospital use cooled vests in surgery DAILY. But THEIRS utilizes an ice chest on wheels with an aquarium pump for circulation. Monty is not an inventor.
If you should sustain a “coolant leak”, take a bottle of spring water from the shelf. While pouring the water over the “leak” area, say in a loud voice “Gosh, I spilled the water all over my trousers, how could I be so careless?” Tech Tip; don’t use soda pop, too sticky.
The company had cooling vests for employees having problems with the heat in summer. It was a garment with plastic tubes in it that you hooked up to an air hose. The circulating air helped cool the wearer.
The heat has to go somewhere. Simply circulating refrigerant does nothing but add weight to your body. He probably got more cooling after it leaked onto his pants and began evaporating.
Interesting how Monty has invented something NASA has been using inside space suits for decades. The astronauts always put on tube-infused cooling/heating garments that before putting the suits on.
Just google “astronaut cooling garment” to see for yourself.
Those are spendy. My vest just contain compartments full of water. Stick it in a freezer for a while and get 6-8 hours of comfort depending on the temperature. My shirt gets wet but it doesn’t spread like that.
“Sprung”? That’s the past perfect tense, not the simple past tense. Does no one use “sprang” any more? Also these: flang, stang, drank, sank, shrank, slang, slank, stank, swang

One place you do NOT need to be any colder is the supermarket. Especially the refrigerated and frozen foods sections.
