A better way of showing that at least the ocean is curved is watching a ship sail up over the horizon….first all you can see is the masts, then the superstructure, then the hull.then again perhaps gravity repels light so it only looks like its curved :)

LameHawkTechnically yes, but the Diomedes are far off the coast of either country. I was gallows amused by all the panic over “the Russians are 90 miles from our shore.” They had (and have) a major naval base 12 miles away on Big Diomede and no one is concerned.
