Cute, but unrealistic. Those folks are survivors in that era. They’d have a sentry and they’d ALL be hyper-aware of what’s going on around them. Oh and that big fire? Not happening. Ruins your night sight.
I could never repeat it, but telling ghost stories on a camping trip with my flight and some of their families in North Dakota in the Turtle Mountains, it as my turn to tell a ghost story, so I was busy reworking an old ghost story to fit the group, and things kept happening on cue, not planned from people coming back to or leaving the campfire at just the right moments, animal noises and such. Ah, good memories.
The people I used to work with taught me to never sit in a room with your back to the door. I guess that applies to never sit with your back to the big, dark, scary woods too?
I’d like to see one of the boys, with a marshmallow on a stick. You know, just to see if anyone would catch it. Comics need Easter Eggs, to keep us on our toes.
In ancient times people gathered around camp fires to hear the stories of hunters and warriors. Today we gather around the TV sets to do the exact same thing.

The big scary beast was a Wiley Bear. Every night another camper disappeared, until there were none left. End of story. Must of been Halloween.

Fright Night only works if there isn’t anything, really, to fear.

Nice going, group – especially you, Og - Way to keep the story going. Don’t let the loss of one participant ruin Improv Night.

I’m waiting for one of the prehistoric gentlemen to claim that the story is fake news and that it didn’t happen, despite evidence to the contrary.

Oh, how this brings back fond memories – as a camp counselor, scaring the bejeesus out of the kids gathered around the campfire with my ghost stories!

Oh, we still have a “big, scary beast” all right. Two of them, actually. They both live in Florida…
