Perhaps he should swear in on a book he’s actually read. Very limited list.

It may not be a thunderstorm, but the weather seems to have responded to events of the day.

Let’s see if “Defend the Constitution” gets skipped over or mumbled incoherently.

Today I am wearing a Black Arm Band in mourning for our nation.

Today we are inaugurating a Felon, Rapist, & Traitor as our President.

    We should be ashamed.

Joe Biden just blanket pardoned Anthony Fauci, the January 6th panel and others. If they have not done any wrong or broken any laws, why would he need to preemptive pardon them? Come on all you democrats, tell me why? (By the way, I am not a democrat or republican. I am an independent.) I haven’t see republicans do that, although Gerald Ford did pardon Nixon for his crime, but not for any crimes that he may have committed.

It’s not Inauguration Day. It’s Coronation Day, the return of being ruled by a king. Biden wasn’t perfect, but at least he’ll have the distinction of being the last president of this country.

A white nationalist sworn in as president on MLK Jr. Day is the perfect symbol of how far America has fallen. A man who cheered on a coup that he knew was baseless is set to take the helm of our government once again. I grieve for this nation…

The maddening part is, corporate media won’t touch the fact that the 32X convicted felon and insurrectionist ONLY ran again to stay out of prison. I’d end this comment with a good cussing, but GoComics would just censor it.

Time to de-select this comic from my daily feed, not because of the particular view expressed but because I’m tired of politics intruding into everything. This strip has become more strident expressing the political views of its writers. They are free to express them. I, however, do not have to read them.

Give it a rest! This is a great comic and does not need to be polluted with your political views. Thank God that senile old fool is gone along with his worthless side kick.

Serial dude has not read, among other things, New York magazine Sept. 2024:

In the most volatile presidential campaign of the last 50 years, one thing has remained remarkably constant: Donald Trump’s stated intention to prosecute a wide swath of his opponents if he wins the White House.

The list of targets has been growing for years. It includes an array of Trump’s political and legal antagonists — real or perceived — ranging from President Joe Biden and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to Anthony Fauci, the members of the Jan. 6 committee and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Just a few weeks ago, Trump put hundreds — maybe thousands — more of his political opponents in his prosecutorial crosshairs by threatening unnamed Democratic lawyers, political operatives, donors, voters and election officials.

Trump is vindictive, vengeful narcissist and Biden is right to give these people cover.

One can hope this is Lewis and Fry’s parting , sour grapes, political jibe. For months, even years, before the recent election, Americans were constantly exposed to Republican and Democratic narratives and arguments, and on election day overwhelmingly chose the Republican narrative and candidate(s) as more credible. Trump and Co. won. Deal with it. Tantrum if you must, but time and life goes on and TDS will fade.
