Inspiration hit suddenly.

Even scarier if it’s with Lucy.

I assumed that Lucy was the one who threw the snowball.

It can drive some to distraction.

What about a fear of slipping on the ice in snowy and cold weather?

The Count was today years old when The Count found out “Chionophobia” was anything other than the Fear of Chionos. Nasty little buggers, that, boy howdy.

I can honestly say that is the first time I’ve heard of that.

Looking this up to double check, I also found “cynophobia” the pathological fear or loathing of dogs.

Snoopy’s cat neighbor certainly exhibits the loathing part.

But back to the comic, I guess I’m chionophilic.

I have a severe phobia of driving in snow. It’s how I ended up in Florida. Now I’m phobic of interstate highway driving

Linus, if comic strip characters aged normally, you would find that walking in snow can be terrifying when you are old ( and break easily).

If it’s cold enough, you’ll fear it.

You could get stuck in a blizzard, or be in a car that goes off the road during one.

It would be three years until anyone would see,“The Shining”. That movie would give anyone a severe case of chionophobia.

Ever tried to drive, or walk somewhere far, during a blizzard? Ever hear of “Whiteout”? Very easy to understand.

I just something about who is afraid of ketchup from being sprayed with some as a child. The trauma of such an incident likely caused her fear. Sally is on to something.

I hate driving in snow, especially when there is a layer of ice underneath it

Throughout her working life my wife would refer to “the S word”. Now retired, she just looks out and says “This is a yuck day” and stays home.

Had to look that one up. It is a real phobia.
