Most people are tired of focusing on themselves and spending time with their loved ones. They want to get back to the drudgery that was their lives before COVID.

This is like that old joke about the optimist who fell off the Empire State Building; as he passed each floor, people standing near the windows could hear him saying, “So far, so good…”

Good to know that pig is having a good time in quarantine.

Sad that he considers Rat one of his ‘,loved ones’.

Some people are homebodies, some are partiers. some are introverts, some are extroverts, some “mesoverts” etc. etc. As with most things, about 80% of us can pull this off, for awhile and the other 20% are either already gonzo or will be real soon. And the opposite 20% have been waiting for this their whole lives.

’Bout the same as always, then. But with Covid.

I just wish I liked all of my “loved ones”…

I don’t know what six months Pig is talking about, but I’m going to be happy in 3 months and 11 days.

Or really, really sad, if I got the date correct. All depends upon how you will feel at the end of that day.

I’ve been given 6 months to a year to avoid my ****ing relatives.

one can see that there are many people out there who feel equally tenderly about their ‘loved ones’…

In every cloud there is a silver lining? Go pig!

I focused on myself once. I fell asleep.

He’s happy because he’s a privileged pig who owns an iPhone. For poor hungry creatures (like myself), it’s nothing but gloom and doom. Say, I could use some generous donations now. Gimme all your food and picanic baskets.

Looks like Pig is taking his own suggestion from two days ago to heart.

Loved ones? I haven’t had any of those in years, and have lived alone even longer. the only effect the pandemic has had on me is I’m working longer hours with fewer days off than normal. And always too tired to do my housework etc, that badly needs doing.

Maybe if PIGITA visited PIG…and rekindle their love….

I worked 43 years and never got a sabbatical until now that I’m retired.

How are you spending time with your loved ones? We’re in quarantine.

It HAS been a colourful… adventure… so far..

My joke to the doctor’s receptionist after a visit: “He said I was ready to check out and gave me six months. …What? I need a follow-up appointment in six months.”

Or, in six months to a year, we’ll find out that vaccines don’t provide permanent immunity, or even a year’s immunity, and that having had COVID doesn’t provide immunity, and the pandemic will convert to a worldwide endemic condition.

Everyone needs a little Pig in their lives.

My wife is going stir-crazy working from home and never seeing her friends.

Introspection with a positive attitude. Go Pig!

Actually, that’s been my attitude. I usually work from home; having everyone else home with me has been nice. Less extracurricular meetings too.

another bright side to this pandemic is that everyone realizes how much they hate celebs and how much they should appreciate essential workers.

Hey, Stephan, I just want to say thank you for the funny and Positive messages you swing out of the hangar every once in a while. They are comic gold, and positive in this oh, so negative world, based on the “acerbic comments” even funny, well intentioned comics get.

Problem with the quarantine and loved ones is that if the former goes on long enough, there will no longer be any of the latter.

Being old, retired and a widower living alone, the pandemic has given me time to catch up on my reading. Just the other day, I thought I’d try and actually finish Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, the only novel that has defeated me in such attempts at least five times. I’m pleased to report that it’s now six times, and I mowed the lawn instead. There’s always a bright side, if you look for it.

A little bit of quarantine goes a long way.

I will be happy too, when we have a President who still has a brain that works for more than 3 words before forgetting where he is and what he started to say.

I don’t approve of this comic strip. I really don’t think these maskless characters are six feet away from each other and thus, they are possibly infecting us readers.

Gosh, this was such a positive and uplifting comic today. Too bad all the comments weren’t. Thanks, Mr. Pastis. ;-)

There are a few things good about all this. No Jehovah’s witnesses at the door, a lot less annoying robo calls and people aren’t on their cell phones as much in the grocery stores.

I wish that people would stop harping on “I get to spend more time with my loved ones!!!” as an upside to the current situation. I live alone. I have no family within 300 miles. I am really expecting that I will not be able to see my family for the holidays this year like I usually do because of travel restrictions.

Even locally, there has been a stay-at-home order for over four months now. I can’t even go out and visit my local friends. And even if I DID want to try and defy the county authorities to do that, the friends that I used to spend the most time with live with someone who’s immunocompromised, so it would be irresponsible of me at best, and quite possibly have fatal consequences at worst.

I have gotten less and less time with my loved ones as a result of the current crisis. I wish people would stop telling me I’m supposed to be happy about “time with loved ones” because of this. It just hurts.

Who are these ‘loved ones’ of whom you speak?
