and man calls himself a dog’s best friend

Ditto our kitty. And, unlike the dog (who slobbers), the kitty has pointy places that come out if you skritch the ears too long OR not long enough.

Earl, that is one of the pleasures of being retired. No where to rush off to, so all the time in the world to keep Roscoe happy. :)

I’ve got two just like that. They want to be lap dogs. They are too big though.

Also goes for cats.

It’s true. It’s like heroin— once you get them started, they’ll tart themselves out to anyone for their fix of a good noggin scratch….

And if you scratch one dog, the other wants to get in on the fun.

I had a grand dog that was like that. He was pretty funny wanting you to keep petting him.

Now this is what it is all about . The precious Roscoe in all of the frames and the happy tail in frame two is just great . Thanks to Brian for this one .

My cat thinks that the main purpose for having humans around is for them to feed and pet the kitty.

I had a cat who would only stay in my lap for a minute or less….now I have another cat who wants to sit on my lap all day….go figure….

We dogsit our son’s dog sometimes. He’s totally jealous of our cat if we give the cat any attention. As soon as we start petting the cat, he comes running over and nuzzling our hands to get in on the action. If the cat is nowhere around, he leaves us alone.

It’s the wise person who buys a dog that does not slobber. And, for those who don’t, about 14 years and goodbye.

The fun part is when poochie scratches the air with his back leg.

Excellent idea! Well worth the repeat — well, almost a repeat. The strip on 26 Mar 17 had more panels, but it was the same idea. I loved it then and I love it now.

The doggie we have now loves to have her head skritched. When a human is in a chair, she will come over and tip her head at just the perfect angle, right under your hand. All you have to do is wiggle your fingers and she gets a good skritch. When you stop, she will come around to your other side to get some skritching from the other hand, too.

A dog will give you unconditional love. I can’t understand how some people can be so cruel to them.

Truth!

Our dog comes in my room and if i’m at the puter she stands next to it and gets my attention. I’ll pet or scratch her then stop and dangle my arm. She’ll lick my arm to scratch her some more.

Well you woke up the itch.

I have literally spent the last 10 minutes doing just that!

Especially my new girl.
