/// His Favorite Model, a dummy,

with which Weir was getting too chummy,

could be posed as the Queen

    in positions obscene,

but he fears “she” could not love a rummy.

John had finally invented a dancing Automaton! Now, men who were too embarrassed to admit that they didn’t know how to dance would no longer be trapped in a cycle of depression and rejection, unable to get a date.

I know robots are making their way into every industry, but I didn’t think that they would be replacing artist’s models so soon.

That he never will teach her to dance./

    She ignores his advances/

    with ludicrous stances/

and she always seems lost in a trance.///

He thought, from the cock of her head/

That she might be in Tigris in bed../

    Twas a prospect auspicious/

    But now he’s suspicious/

That she’s either a dummy- or dead.

I believe that robot was the prototype for the movie ‘I,Robot’. Just after this painting was unveiled, Will Smith came out of the audience and slapped the sh*t out of the artist.

Fergie was always a bit of an oddball – even for an artist. He was known for taking liberties with his models because he knew that they’d never utter a complaint against him.

    His Favorite Model

    Paste

    Category:Paintings_by_John_Ferguson_Weir site=commons.wikimedia.org

(syntax supported by the Google and Yandex search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and chose the first Category: link found, and then click the currently second image in that Category: webpage, for info and links that point to more info about this roughly jumbo envelope size painting. Other versions has the strip coloration image.

Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #2911 (April 12, 2022) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there (awaiting Mr. Melcher’s approval) pointing to the artist info I used to point to here. First work by him used here.
