Well, there’s always YouTube where are thousands upon thousands of channels to watch depending on what you’re in the mood for.

You don’t know how to turn it off?

Except, Why are you paying for 2500 channels when most channels repeat the others?

This is why I have a lot of DVDs.

Remember when there were only a few channels & no recorders & we often had to choose between 2 or 3 GOOD programs?

zig, it’s mostly commercials on those channels. Even with the apps.

Yep, there’s something wrong with you if you expect something “good”.

I have only one streaming service (Netflix), and I can always find something I like. I know people who have many streaming services and many chanels, and they never find anything to watch, mainly because they spend all their time searching for something to watch.

Hulu, amazon prime, Paramount +, Disney +, and nothing worth watching? But you keep paying! In the hope something will happen.

Yet, back in the early 60s with only five channels to choose from, I couldn’t decide what to watch, there were so many good programs on.

Something is wrong with an entertainment media that panders to the lowest common denominator.

Took a decade to figure out to use one website to tell me when a new episode of a very picky collection of 89 good tv series across Amazon/Apple/Netflix/Starz, all of ’em, then i use another site to rip a torrent of it that someone uploaded after they viewed it. Average 7 new episodes a week.

Now they’re “Leaving Soon” and there’s more than you can watch before they leave…

When there’s nothing good on the TV, that’s the best thing to watch: nothing. Turn it off already. Go outside, go read a book, go play with your housepets, etc.
