Thank you for bringing Gene and his family back for a while. I missed them.

The very definition of “spoilt for choice”.

Don’t listen to anything in the car, occasional favorite pianist from You Tube (headphones to get good sound).

I can’t hear much radio when I have the top down. I’m afraid to wear headphones.

It would be nice to find a shopping center or supermarket which doesn’t continually torment us with the sound of a girl having a pineapple stuffed up her nose. One of our local places even has it in the parking lot!

We don’t have much of a choice in my small town. It’s ridiculous that it’s mostly talk radio too!

When visiting our far flung family we liked the Books on Tape, which became CDs, and now are multiple web sites, although we don’t do the latter. I have downloaded several hundred of my favorite tracks, mostly from 40 and 50 years ago, but only about half meet the approval of she who must be obeyed.

There is something to be said about just having a favorite music station… but AM or FM?

I’m to old fashion. To many choices, just let me bang on the wheel to a beat in my head as I drive home. Great entertainment—- for those watching me.

We listen to the local college stations. Bless them, they play classical music most of the time. And I do agree with Happy Dog – the music sometimes seems designed to drive people away.

Music? One of the few advantages to being hearing impaired. If I can’t decide on the CD to play I know I won’t find it on the radio.

So they want some music for the road. How about some music from the road.

Our local YMCA, despite many protests, plays “whining I’m such a loser”, also called adult contemporary, music in the locker room and cardio area. Hardly motivating

That’s why I love my old iPod Classic. Every song I own – over 13,000 tracks – in one small package. Plug it into the car and shuffle-play the whole shebang.

You won’t ever find a radio station like that :-)

I’ve been transferring all my music to flash drives so I can listen to the music I like. None of the local radio stations play “my” music so I’ve had to do this. But what I don’t understand is the mindset of a lot of people who think that after a certain age they can’t like the things they liked when they were younger. At 52, I’m partial to the music I grew up with. Most of my friends think I’m weird to play loud 70s and 80s metal, but my grandkids love it.

Sirius/XM. Grateful Dead Channel (yes, there is such a thing). No better driving music in the world.

If I recall correctly, “back in the day”, Arlo’s driving music of choice was Jimmy Buffett, while Janis was a big Emmy Lou Harris fan.

My new car came with serious xm. They want me to renew. I don’t listen to the radio in the car. I let the almost daily mailer keep coming so the post man still gets a paycheck and the school gets the money for recycled paper.

It kills me that cars aren’t being made with CD players anymore. I know the technology is 35 years old but I do not look forward to having to transfer my 30 year collection so I can listen in the car.

“70s R&B” on Amazon Music is my default. When in doubt, that’s what goes on.
