Just don’t try to stop a rolling cannon ball with your foot. Amazing how many fools used to try and do that with the cannonballs fired from cannon that rolled or bounced along the ground.

Reminds me of this story. A man walked into a bar carrying a head. He place it on the bar and announced, this is my son, and it’s his 21st birthday, so give him a drink. The bartender reluctantly put a beer in front of the head. He took one sip, and a neck and torso magically appeared. Excited, he took another sip, and arms grew out of his new body. With his new arms, he excitedly finished off the beer and saw two new legs sprout from his body. “Look at me! I’m whole!” he cried and ran out outside to show the world. As he ran out into the street, a truck ran him over.

The bartender turned to the father and said, “That boy should’ve quit when he was ahead.”

Back in the 80s that sign was just as popular as “Just Say No”

Yes, stop that rolling head! You never know when that rolling head could be your own, (back in [B.D.] before the dark ages.)

Eye rolls, head nods, but rolling heads.. never. And frankly if I saw a head on its own I would not stop. Now, if someone was giving head….

In “MIB 3”, an extraterrestial alien, that operated a bowiling alley, was refusing to provide information to agents J & K. The agents removed his somewhat detachable head and proceeded to torture him by rolling his head like a bowling ball down an alley only to get a split. Agent “J” used his “Low hanging fruit shot” to nail the two upright pins converting it to a strike. The head knew this wouldn’t end until he “spilled his guts”, figuratively speaking.

On our first trip into the Rockies, my dad told us the story of an old Indian Chief who once lived in those very mountains we were about to enter. He would suddenly appear and frighten settlers heading through the pass. After he died, they say his ghost still wandered the mountains, scaring drivers even to this day. There are signs posted in places where he’s been spotted, warning drivers to be alert and watch for him. His name: Falling Rocks.

Ah, thanks for the memories. When I was a kid, we used to grab a sibling’s head upon seeing one of those signs. Well, we got tired of that fast, but it happened more than once as I recall.
