For a kitty who defended Iggy’s naps in the Christmas tree as part of his wild inheritance, I’m surprised at his stern insistence with Ora Zella who is, by nature, nocturnal. I guess this is all part of domestication.
In general, this is an illustration that the child simply does not have enough communication with their parents, plus is also applied that parents still did not go to bed. Children want to be like adults, including going to bed later. Therefore, in every possible way they delay this moment, because in the morning again everyone will go to work. And the most interesting thing is that even the remote working is not saved from this, because there are a lot of moments from simple meet up calls to complex and urgent tasks, when you cannot distract the parent at himself, and in general, it is necessary to sit quietly, i.e. even children’s energy will not be possible to pour in a day. Then how does the child will go to bed at all?
I notice Oz has eyes already closed…I think this kitten is about ready to flop down dead asleep, right in the middle o her fight! A phenomenon we have seen in kittens before:)
Go to bed, Ora Zella, the “old” cats need their sleep! As I type this, Smudge is meatloafing on the back of the couch, while Imp, Thor and Mouse are sprawled on the bed. So much for making the bed.

Well, someone called it that Grumpy Papa Elvis would weigh in! Congrats!

You are trying to determine the limits? (Perfectly understandable, that’s your job, however – You have just passed this limit! -
Go to bed. Go directly to bed. Do not pass Go! Do not collect $200.00.

OraZuzu is about to meet another monster. Grumpy Papa! Elvis….Layin’ down the law! Full cuteness was deployed. Full cuteness was denied!

Chainsaws, btw, are a very effective monster deterrent. Every child should go to bed with one!

Elvis has eaten under-bed monsters before now. OZ is wasting her time invoking them.

Enter grumpy cat. Can he penetrate armour this thick?

Will tomorrow begin the, “But why?” phase, or will she finally argue herself to sleep?
quonk999 about 7 hours ago
OMG! I forgot about that stage. My much younger brothers (3 of them) would constantly ask “But why?” until I would shriek “BECAUSE I SAID SO!”
marilynnbyerly about 7 hours ago
Only a crazy kitten would go against Elvis. OZ is up to the task, I’m sure.

CCR: Lookin’ Out My Back Door
Got up again from my bed, a monster filling me with dread
Got to sit down, have a snack, or another drink
Grumpy Father comes by, pretty soon I’m saying
…….
Doo, Doo, Doo, running through the living room
There’s a whole bunch of cat toys awaiting
Buzzy mouse is waiting there
Look at Goldie and Lupin there facing off
There’s a crew of Robber Mice taking cheese to their lair
Doo, Doo, Doo, running through the living room!
…….
There’s a horrifying monster underneath my cat bed
Father says it’s more afraid of me
Doo, Doo, Doo
I wanna ride the flying spoon and run around some more
Doo, Doo, Doo, running through the living room!
…….
There’s a horrifying monster underneath my cat bed
Father says it’s more afraid of me
Doo, Doo, Doo
I’m gonna sleep tomorrow, I wanna play some more
Doo, Doo, Doo, running through the living room!
…….
Got up again from my bed, a monster filling me with dread
Got to sit down, have a snack, or another drink
Grumpy Father comes by, I’m running and not sleeping!
ZZZzzzzzzz….

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
At the harbor on the Nile
Harbor Master Antef: The Godspeed has just put into harbor.
Godspeed Captain (Captain Courageous): Permission to dock, sir!
Antef: Permission granted. And welcome. What brings you to Egypt, Captain?
Captain Courageous: I’m here to obtain provisions. I have a long voyage to make.
Antef: Does it have to do with the tragic accident in the new world?
Captain Courageous: Yes. And a very prominent member of the skating world will be taking the trip across the river as well.
Antef: Give us a list of what you need, and I will be sure you get them.
Captain Courageous: No doubt the Royal Procurers are way ahead of you.
Agnes-Ata: We are!
Sometime Later
Puckmosis: Do you have everything you need, Captain?
Captain Courageous: Yes. The Procurers are always very thorough.
Puck: Please give our condolences to your passengers’ family and loved ones.
Captain Courageous: Will do.
All: Fair winds and a following sea!

Elvis is the right cat for this job! Sometimes Puck’s style helps, and sometimes what Elvis is doing is what is needed.

Papa is easygoing. Father is not quite so understanding.
