Wow, where can I get a test like that? I would pass with flying colors. Actually I really don’t want to know. If I try to look it up I will probably get a bunch of phishing email.
The senses of smell and taste are closely linked. The logical next step for Brewster should be to try licking his monitor to see if that helps him smell anything.
Reminds me of a Grade School incident. We had a quiz where one of the questions was “Children are gullible. T-F”. I put “F”, and it was marked wrong. I held up my hand and said “Why is this wrong? I’m not gullible!” Realizing what he’d done wrong, he told the class that anyone who got that one marked wrong would have it reversed… ☺
Well, it’s obvious why he didn’t smell anything, he didn’t scratch the screen hard enough! Brewster needs to just put more elbow grease in his efforts to the screen with a sharp knife …something’s bound to happen!
We laugh, but some of the stories I’ve seen from technical support people that are presented as true — well, if they are, some people are extremely, uh, gullible (to put it gently), or I’m gullible for believing they’re true.

Au contraire, it smells just like a computer monitor.

Sometimes it is hard to tell if a screen is touch sensitive.

Did you know that “gullible” isn’t in the dictionary?

It’s hard to see because the screen has white out all over it from when he was typing a report.

In this case it’s Brewster Rockit, so some exceptions have to be made. Have Pam take the test!
