Everyone is wondering who is this “Moon Maid”.

Junior is troubled, just look at him!

I think there are some serious bumps in the road ahead for these two.

I like the idea of a Moon Maid avatar contest. I think that having Moon Maid avatars on GoComics will be free advertising for Dick Tracy, so I am providing thirty six avatars for people to use. I am removing myself from the running since I feel I have an unfair advantage in the competition. Enjoy the avatars!

I’m with Junior: I can’t believe the real Moon Maid would behave in this way. But I feel sorry for Sparkle and him, because something weird and wrong is going down, whomever Retik and his moll are controlling….

I was not a follower back in the day that Moon Maid suffered that explosion….tell me, those who know….was there a body, an autopsy, a burial? Or did the body by any chance get claimed by her father and taken back to the Moon? Hmm?

I remember that one episode, represented in one of the avatars above, where Moon Maid wanted to remove her ‘horns’ so she would be more like the Earthlings.

Junior, isn’t the destruction of private property a crime? Taking out a tombstone is some pretty harsh vandalism. And Tarry, thanks for the many faces of Moon Maid. That final one almost brought a tear. I hope Team Tracy handles the rest of this storyline with a delicate touch.

I think Junior doubts that the Moon Maid running around is truly Mysta. I’m wondering how this will affect the Tracys, especially Honeymoon. I can only imagine what she’s going through, poor kid.

Seems Sparkle pretty much has her mind made up that this ISNT the real moon maid, and looks like junior is on board too. I feel so bad for Junior.. he looks so hurt and confused in panel two… poor guy, i bet neither of these two are going to get any sleep this night!

Honeymoon may well get to the truth before Junior or Tracy.

Everybody has been falling all over themselves going “ga-ga” over Moon Maid, and there’s no question she’s cute, but I think Sparkle has been looking quite fine, too. I like the way she is depicted as loyal and supportive during this troubling time for Jr. and Honeymoon.

Mattie, what’s the purpose?

Gotta be careful, David! You don’t want to insult anyone who is proudly showing off their family reunion photos. Especially by supersizing their proud pics!

My current theory is that this is the real Mysta,and that she was in a death-like coma and buried, but the two crooks she’s hanging with, trying to rob her grave, discovered her alive and,not being super evil, took care of her and slowly brought her back to full health. The cloth over her face is because the one lingering effect of the explosion is scarring on the lower half of her face, which has also left her angry and grumpy. The only person who knows that Mysta is still alive is Honeymoon, who has received occasional secret visits from her mother. Yes, I’m aware that this is probably 100% wrong, but it’s fun to think up these theories!

I wonder what gocomics would think if they knew an artist of one of their published strips (initials of the strip: MAS) was a psycho troll and a spammer?

For whatever reason I can’t see any but the most recent comments….so I’ll just have to do my best here in hopes of not duplicating anyone.

First off: Flowing blonde hair and a red frilly off the shoulder night gown can certainly distract ME from Moon Maid for now! Hubba-hubba

Secondly: Seems Junior has his feet firmly planted in the facts as they are known and isn’t suffering the “what if’s” when it comes to his departed wife…unlike us magpies.

Yeah, I was getting that for awhile, too, but it seems to be fixed now.

I gotta say, especially with today’s and recent strips that we’ve been treated to, Junior Tracy is DEFINITELY my favorite character.. truth be told, i ALWAYS thought he was pretty cool to begin with, but his strength of character and intelligence shines in the last few scenes we have had with him. He’s grown up well… tess and dick have done a TERRIFFIC job! tie for second is Joe Tracy and Johnny Adonis with Lee Ebony a VERY close third (of course lizz, sam, tracy and patton arent included in this since they are the MAIN characters anyway and EVERYONE loves them! lol)

I love the “C’mere, Babe” shot. It is Piggy Butcher speaking, and we can see from Moon Maid’s pointed finger—and her sly look—that there’s been some zapping going on. I guess if Honeymoon is Moon Unit One, that makes Moon Maid the Zappa (groan).

Sparkle’s cute and all, but how will she stack up against an alien hottie like Mysta? That’s the question Junior’s going to have to answer.

i was reading junior’s bio on the dick tracy wiki page and found mention of an officer rodriguez who was supposed to be guarding tracy’s house when the bomb that killed moon maid was planted… anyone here remember him at all? i’m trying to find a pic somewhere.

the REASON i am putting this up here is because i had TOTALLY forgotten how AMAZING SUE REEL was as a character (and how she turned on art dekko.. didnt she? lol..and helped tracy apprehend him) but theres ANOTHER reason… take a look at the pics of her from the BAC… she looks a LOT like MON MAID doesnt she?

Not exactly, as body or no body, MM was declared legally dead, which greenlighted Junior to carry-on with his life.

This Moon Maid lady is highly addictive. I love the mystery surrounding her — can’t get enough of it! Truly, I haven’t been this excited to read a daily comic each day since I was a kid. Can’t wait to see her again!!!

I haven’t read through all of the comments yet. Has anyone made note of the significance of Wildwood Cemetary?

How could Moon Maid recover from a blast, and why the mouth is concealed? And Did Diet tell the whole trutj? There were several space coupes, or there remained only one? If not, naybe another space coupe was stolen…

Normally I’d think it odd to see people so infatuated with a fictional woman. Except that in this case it’s Moon Maid, with whom I was infatuated as a boy. So I totally understand where you guys are at because I’m there, too. I have so many happy memories of Moon Maid, I couldn’t begin to count them. And seeing her again after all these years in that rocking little outfit and high heel boots, it’s like being on drugs. I LOVE MYSTA!!

I don’t see how Moon Maid could be a clone of the original. Only a few years have passed in Tracy time since Moon Maid died. If they started a clone after that, she would be in early grade school by now. Much younger than Honeymoon.

Forgot to say that I do think it’s the original Moon Maid now. I don’t know how that’s possible either. But if the authors want to go in that direction they will find a way.

I was just looking again at the great pics Tarry posted and noticed this one. Love the hair covering one eye and the look on her face. We know what she wants! But the reason it’s striking is because Mysta looks so similar to Sparkle in today’s 2nd panel!! The flowing blonde hair, the frilly, off the shoulder nightgown, the position of the pillow and the sheet — the resemblance is uncanny! Check it out:
