Typical of women needing to be pacified on a made up man-made holiday that is used to capture our money. Friggin drama queen. This entire “thing” seemed phony from the get-go. If she were real, she’d end up going from man to man once in her 20’s, never finding one Good Enough for her princess butt. She consistently has exacting expectations for what a romance should be and it never measures up to her standards so she will never be happy. This would be a great time for Bernice or Delta to set her a little straighter, but… wait are they still in the strip at all? Hmm.

Somebody just flat does NOT deserve a boyfriend! She will make some unlucky man miserable.

Luann, the fact that he’s willing to date you from 8,000 miles away says something. Don’t get pissy if the Valentine he bothered to send is one day late. You’re being selfish.

the drama of teenage romance is exhausting. I have a teenage grandson that is in and out of relationships like most folks change socks. I just wish he would grow up and realize that very few people find true love at 16, heck some folks don’t find true love until they are 30 and then some never. You got to learn to love yourself and love being alone before you can truly appreciate someone else loving you.

Always being nosy about it is exhausting.

Not to mention the danger of associating their relationship status to their self-worth.

Oh good grief…Luann, he’s staying up late to talk with you, what’s the deal with your attitude? So what if it’s a day or two late. Extend the holiday and cowgirl up

Ah yes. Luanne, like so many (but thank God, not all!) women: fail to meet her expectations on Valentine’s Day and you’re toast. No wonder so many men HATE Valentine’s Day. And Quill? Bail now while she’s making it easy to do so. Even if you DO show up to surprise her, it only means you’ll have to top that performance next year.

Also, Quill could FedEx a koala bear to her, to help her entertain Shannon tomorrow night.

Which brings us to the REAL query— why have they asked her to babysit just three hours, 7-10 pm? Take away 1/2 hour to get to the restaurant, 1/2 hour to get home, 1/2 hour to get their food, Brad & Toni will not have any time to talk and show affection!

If it’s for Luann, Brad was a colossal idiot to leave it out where she’d SIT RIGHT NEXT to it, but then, no matter who it’s for, he was an idiot to leave it out where she’d sit right next to it. I don’t think it’s wise to play this game with a guy on the opposite side of the earth.

This would be sometime after Feb 14 mail delivery that crushed Luann’s heart by not having a valentine for her from Quill and before time she has to babysit.

I joined the service against her stringent objection.By the time i returned from boot she got married and moved away.I never saw her again.She wanted to get married straight out of highschool.I think she was just in love w/ being married.I don`t think it mattered who she married.Last i heard she was on #3.

Well, tomorrow is the 14th – whose going to be highlight – Luann and Quill or Brad and Toni?

Just love it. Remember, turning this into a long distance relationship was not Luann’s idea. Quill initiated it. Regardless of what any one thinks, Quill has more responsibility to keep up the relationship than Luann. You want to keep a girl, get the Valentine out on time. Planning on surprising her? Fine, but have a REAL good cover story for her. If you’re showing up on her doorstep, tell her that you made arrangements for a special Valentine treat for her.

Luann was the one who did not want to start a relationship when he was there. She put up all the roadblocks. Quill tried.

At this point, I’m going so far as to suggest that TJ / Luann might be on the table for the simple fact that everyone else has either been written out, run off, or friend-zoned by Luann.

And what if the card shows up on time?Or roses ordered via the the internet show up tomorrow?This might put Q in the lead on the scoreboard.

Looks like Luann is fixing to turn female on poor Quill. Well, he had to learn how to be a proper dense male sooner or later.

Beautiful rose, Brdshtt. Does this have a name, or did you create it? :-) My mother would have loved this. She grew roses for years—my favorite was Mr. Lincoln, I think the name was. Enchanting perfume. I miss the rose perfume when I walk through the rose garden at the university—all new hybrids without perfumes, I guess.

After my first date with my husband, he sent me roses. It must have been at an “older” person’s recommendation as we were only 18. Anyway, after that, I worked in an office and I’d watch every other woman receiving flowers on VD and then I’d think “he’ll have something at home” but invariably, it would only be after me getting upset that he totally forgot (and I’d gotten him something) that he’d run to the grocery store and get something that was obviously the first thing he could grab. Again, we were so young and I didn’t realize that I’d bought into the “spending money on useless crap equals him loving me” mantra. It took a few years to realize that he showed his love for me all the time and we didn’t need some card/flower/candy industry to tell us how we should show our love for each other. Long story short (yes, I know it’s too late) but guys, take it easy on us ladies, because it takes awhile for us to realize that we are being manipulated by a multi billion dollar industry.

Don’t worry, baby — everything will turn out alright.
