Gunther us just really scared to screw it up or as someone saying showing appreciation of Rosa’s looks in an embarrassing way.

I’m just curious how Rosa (and Toni’s) head can stay straight up with that amount of hair. Never seen that kind of volume on a live woman before…

Hey! “The Gunth”’s trunks are Maryland colors! Go Terps! (And, patterns hide pup tents quite well…)

As it was on my 1st trip to the beaches of Cannes, France. It was early Sept. I got up around 7am local time to have an early beach walk. Apparently, so did many of the “senior citizens” of Cannes. I almost had to crawl back into my hotel from the embarrassment. 8-O. But, things got much better around 2pm, when the “teens & 20’s” were out and about. ;-) BTW, we were talking “Topless optional” here and nothing more.

Point being, I concur with those who say that attitudes regarding sex and body perception, etc., are much more relaxed pretty much anywhere else but the USA and/or where USA led religious “missionary” efforts have been strong (think South Pacific). I think Rosa may have been raised more towards that direction than the USA/Puritanical direction. Gunther seems to be the opposite.

Gunth.. Take a cue from Rosa. Why don’t you both jump in the pool together and have some fun!

Last week was annoying and tiresome and now we get another week of this character’s immature, cringe-worthy behavior???

Perhaps, if he weren’t actively involved with Rosa, and/or Rosa not hosting the event (and, thus, more likely to be in between Gunth and Lu). I don’t think Gunth would embarrass Rosa like that on her own turf.

Besides, without a firm commitment from Lu (i.e. an “Epiphany”), I don’t think Gunth will see her in the same light as he now does Rosa. He may secretly pine away for Lu, but definitely on the “back burner.”

Gunther’s first reaction is reassuring. His second one is distressing.

Do you think a character like this is funny and entertaining?

Teens do not have to make out to prove they are not hopeless or worthy, or is that incomprehensible to you?

Rosa almost missed when she threw on that bikini! It’s no wonder a shy guy like Gunther is initially a bit confused over how to react. But as he spends some time with Rosa, he’ll get over it….

Gunther should be on The Big Bang Theory.

And, no, Rosa is not really a blonde.

Did the scene we saw “yesterday” occur before or after the scene we see, today? Not sure. Today, everyone seems dry and fresh, like they haven’t jumped in yet. If today is a continuance from yesterday, I would expect them all to look wet with wet hair, etc. Today could be a flashback… or Sunday could’ve been shown out of sequence, somehow.

Only in the USA, are warnings at the beginning of TV shows equating nudity, sex and violence. ^^Canada too, actually… in fact the “child-proof” settings program and chip, in every TV sold in North America, was created in Canada.

Okay, enough of Gunther being afraid to look at his girlfriend’s body. I want to see what Tiff, Crystal, and Bernice are wearing.

May just be the way the pattern works out, but it kinda looks like Gunth is wearing a skort.

You are very correct in your definition of an introvert, as I have studied quite a bit on that – I am one myself and I teach others how one should deal with introverts.

However, the biggest fallacy is equating introvertness with shyness and social disorders. Of course, one can be both but most of the time, introverts can have good social and great interpersonal skills but then we get quite drained from such efforts.

In a pool party like this, for example, I would find a quiet spot and readily engage in anyone that would want to sit and talk. I would not seek to join in a group conversation but I would be quite engaging in talking to others. Then I would go home and take a nap.

It is unclear whether Gunther is an introvert because his social disorder tends to dominate.

Well, try to remember Gunther HAS kissed this girl. Several times. Also, this is comicland, not reality. That being the case, I rather think the story we want to look at is Pygmalion, with the genders reversed. Gunther is carved in the stone of hopelessness. Rosa’s job is to chip it away. Real life doesn’t work like that, but this is not real life. Remember it well.

actually it’s very simple ( from a hetero perspective) : women’s bodies are pleasant to look at. Men’s not so much. ( especially in the Evans-verse where the girls are almost all hotties ( sorry Bernice) and the guys mooks.______an astute observation 53. Kind of a reflection of what we see on TV sitcoms. Do shy nervous “mooks” Gunther, Brad, Knute, stumbling all over them selves in their pursuit of hotties, -Rosa, Toni Crystal – make for a funnier universe?

The jury is still out on whether he’s a loser. Rosa IS making progress. Slow, perhaps, but progress

I want to see them also, but mainly Crystal. She has a tattoo on her back and I am curious if Mr. Evans remembered to keep it on her. Then of course Crystal in a bikini is good, tat or no tat.

if only to see them taken down a peg.^See, usually, I would tend to agree….but this would be a special moment for a player and team not normally in the spotlight, and certainly not a player who has ever been mentioned before in this way… he’s not by any stretch a “media darling”, nor is he a favorite for anything … it’s pretty much as if “Joe Schmoe” just walks into a room and serendipitously says or does something that all of a sudden gets noticed here and there… that’s another reason that I said “threat”… he’s not on the national radar, and is not a favorite, just a possibility, according to SI (which, as with ESPN, must be taken with a whole shaker full of salt)…

A character like Gunther might be only theoretically aware that other options exist.

Someone fill me in please ! What kind of relationship did Gunther have with his mother ? Was it so sick he’s emotionally crippled ? Being a little shy is one thing; being a case study for Doctor Freud is something else entirely !!!
