Was Perhaps it’s just the dittoes… I hope.If not perhaps the survivors will show mercy on our heroes for saving Kirbee..What am I saying? They probably won’t!
Hey, survivors. I’m sure only half of them will want to do their impersonation of Immortan Joe from Fury Road. They’re not dittos, because that would be silly And make no sense. Unless they’re wild dittos, but I doubt it.
We haven’t seen Sarah in a while. Is she the leader of this mob? Or Chic’s mom? Seems like a girl is in front of the mob…leading? Also, after hinting that Jim became something more than just a Rackety coon, it seemed odd that his end was so quick. I can’t imagine how he could turn up again, though.
All we know is that these lizards have lost everything. They may be angry and looking for a scapegoat. They may feel lost and looking for direction. They could be something in between. I think I see Piotr (or at least someone wearing goggles) to the right of the group. The lady in front may be Sarah. Its hard to tell.
I think Sarah and Piotr are leading this bunch, which is possibly a good thing for Wally and Co. They may take Kirbee off their hands and find somewhere else to live because that plume of smoke is likely to bring Topsiders.
There IS a single person to blame for this, the topsider lady who turned into a lizard then cheated on her raccoon boyfriend…what the hell happened to her anyway?!
A cat, a mouse, and a bird just risked their lives to save a lizard. I think they’re going to get a break. And the lizards are going to be a bit more respectful of other phenotypes.
My guess:Jim finally “smoked” himself and he is finally out of the picture. Sarah was using Jim even before they transformed. They are rare, but I’m guessing Sarah is a female sociopath. She’s smart, but not really as smart as she thinks she is. I think Piotr is there like the others have noted. He is compassionate and would defend Holly, Wally and Chic. Remember, he was all for letting them go. It was Phil who argued against it. Is Helena among the crowd? She would have the clout to declare the “experiment” a failure. This fire should get the Topsider’s attention from the satellite they launched.A side note about the satellite: If it has cameras, the Topsiders may find they are in a distinct minority outside of their desert and may have to consider the reality if changing or dying. As we’ve seen here and in South Carolina, the end of the Topsiders really wouldn’t change anything without a radical change on the inside.
Would it be too nieve of me to think maybe seeing these filthy outsiders save one of their own might make them a little more likley to just let them go?
That raises one big question. How far does the Topsiders reach extend? At first I had assumed that they were a faction within Apex that had snagged the best of Apex’s resources right after society went to heck in a handbasket. That would have made them a super power in the wasteland, but without the ability to obtain and refine raw materials, they were merely the best scavenger society there was. That seemed to be Flask’s belief as she noted, taking out the rocket would set the TS back 5 years, maybe longer. She also noted that the ear cup flaw in the biosuits is a result of material shortage induced corner cutting. The second rocket was something of a shock as it suggested that they had access to raw materials and the engineering resources to design and manufacturer a more advanced satellite launching rocket on their own. The drones were even more disturbing as it suggested that the TS had the resources to manufacture a whole swarm of ginormous flying machines and let them loose in the wastes. There are two possible explanations for these things. The TS resources are so massive that they could afford to build & operate these things, this suggests mining, refining and manufacturing facilities to me The other possibility is that the TS feel that the mutants’ ability to hide is moving things to the point where the Topsiders feel that they are running out of time. The drones may be an act of desperation on their part. The other curious thing is that Jim seemed to believe that the Topsiders were somehow confined to the great wastes and while they knew that there were lands beyond the great wastes, they were unable to get to them. I believe that Jim is wrong as he also believed that he could get to these new lands using a Topsider Personal Transporter. If Clive were able to take the foursome to this area beyond the great wastes, couldn’t other PTs do the same thing? There’s a lot of stuff going on here and it doesn’t feel like its adding up.
Please let Queen Helena and her other kids be among the survivors. She’ll be so happy to see her darling Chic. She’ll probably command the others to keep think long and hard before harming the heroes who protected her boy.…After all, Daddy was willing to gas him along with Jim, and we all know how that turned out.
It seems that Flask was shown only a fraction of APEX’s potential, perhaps she and her site were just outlaiers, and the full extent of APEX (or whoever runs things now) is elsewhere? The rocket complex that she wanted to destroy may have started off being the real thing, but seems to have been turned into a decoy at little cost. Similarly, the large number of transporters and their crews hint at substaintial assets, human and material, the more advanced drones even more so. On the other hand, we’re talking about a whole world, and what has been shown could be the total of what APEX has been able to scrape up world (or what portion it might have access to) wide. With very advanced manufacturing technologies, there need be next to no one needed for hands on, so the bulk of any surviving population could become cannon fodder or even a source for canning (given the right pretext) especially for that portion that might not exactly fit the ideology.
Steve Gallacci,I think you are right. Flask’s lack of knowledge suggests that the Topsiders keep information very compartmentalized. People are only told what the leadership thinks they need to know. That suggests that Jim and Sarah might not know the true extent of the Topsiders reach. Jim’s assertion that the TS wouldn’t be able to touch them in the areas beyond the great wastes always seemed to be very naive to me.
By the way, I notice Holly’s apron has now moved to around Kirbee’s, er, injury. After all our talk about what the apron meant to Holly, turns out it meant, “bandage.”
Regrettably it’ll be some time before I learn how this is going to turn out. Things didn’t go quite as well as I had hoped at Schneider and I’m traveling to Kansas City to begin training at Core Carriers. Since I’m taking the bus and can’t bring my laptop, I won’t be able to check the webcomics for a month or so.

The apron is now serving as a bandage. Did not think of that option. Since they are topside the figures may not be from ’Lizardtown"

The story is good. It is an on-going adventure. Why would you want it to end? It is a story of life. Life should be long lived!
