Iâve never been a big pancake fan, but I like going to IHOP for their sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy..Iâve suggested that they change their name to reflect the thing I like most on the menu, but they donât seem interested in being known as IHOSEBAG.
Posted earlier here, but had time to research and make a correction. Anyone remember the Krispy Kreme Klub promotion in England last year??? You canât make stuff like that upâŠ.itâs too funny!
I wonder if that is the hidden sub-title for the âsecretâ European Trade Agreement.Or does it describe a congress that works only 120 days a year?Whatever the message, thereâs a lot of it going around.
Iâve since heard it was urban legend, but the story used to go around that Chevy had to reconsider marketing the Nova in Spanish-speaking countries. No va means âdoesnât go.â
Dairy Queen once had a slogan âHave you D-Qed today?â When I lived in New Jersey there was a dairy bar named OâDowds. They didnât use a similar slogan.
I fondly remember the acronym the Republican fundraising committee used for Richard Nixonâs second term â CREEP ! ( Committee for the Re-Election of the President )
Richard S. RussellI was hearing a commercial for those, and suddenly realized that Nova is an exploding star. That led to Vega being the brightest star in the Lyre.
I remember several years ago when I worked in a department store and we had a display advertising Peas, Carrots, and Beans. When I looked at the display I got this shiver running up my spine and realized that the display could make people think of the recent PCB scare weâd recently had in the state. When I pointed that out to the manager he took down the sign but left the display.

Most of the former Pepsi-owned restaurants go by their initials only: KFC and A&W. I wonder why Taco Bell doesnât just go by TB.
