As credible of a creation story as I’ve ever seen…Much more believable as any other,,,…Hey, I said that because I don’t want to get hurt!…..Um, isn’t Danae being just a little condescending by telling Lucy to “whoa”…..Kinda sounds like latent speciesism to me…Shame, shame… BTW, anybody got some cool pictures of Wiley Cats?….Come on, I know you do….
Hey you. Yeah you. The one reading this,,,,What do you believe in?…An old book, with no references? Provable and self reflective science? Evidence that the evidence right in front of your eyes is wrong? Evidence that the evidence right in front of your very eyes is right?…Don’t be so sure, baby……Cat hairball works for me….But does it really matter anyway?…Oh, I suppose it does….But, I just say that to humor the Universe…we have a strange relationship….She’s a Bitch and I’m her victim…………
This also explains why it seems at times that the creator is toying with us.And Varnes: You believe what you want, as for me, I believe I’ll have another beer.
Thanks, for my morning laugh, Wiley. It works for me.I always thought that the world was some kind of gigundous hairball, – and who am I to contradict Holy Scripture ?
Of course Wiley is wrong: The almighty Creato-Cat had a big white beard..Scriptures 17:33:“He who draws Creato-Cat whithout the big white beard, shall be punished with a dry and barren pen forever.”
In one of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy books, there’s a religion that believes the entire universe was sneezed out of the nose of the Great Green Arkleseizure. They live in fear of the coming of the great white handkerchief.I wonder what is going to come along to clean up the great hairball.
Let’s keep a little perspective, people…there were 20th century regimes that believed absolutely in stark naturalism and materialism (there is no God, the universe is all there is, science is the only path to truth, etc.). Those were the most rigid, totalitarian, oppressive, violent, and dogmatic regimes the world has ever seen. The death toll of those Marxist regimes surpassed that of all other nations, religions and ideologies in history. And they did not allow question or dissent.
Question dogma and fight oppression wherever you find it, but never think those things are exclusive to religion.
I read somewhere that the Dalai Lama had monks to investigate the claims of science on the creation of the universe. When told of the Big Bang, he was reported to have said “We told you so.”, as Buddhism teaches Cycles of Creation. He has now accepted the scientific explanation of the creation of the universe and discarded the Pillar of Life as an explanation of creation. It is a minor irritation to me that mainstream scientists now use the term “Big Bang.” Fred Hoyle used the term derisively in a radio broadcast, then had to publicly apologize for it. He was an advocate of continuous creation.

Makes as much sense as an invisible sky daddy speaking the world into existence. Actually more, but let’s not quibble when souls are at stake.
