Transcript:
Mike: Hmm... Jeb is up in the polls... Finally, some good news! Jake Tapper: Governor Bush? You have 30 seconds to respond to Secretary Clinton. Jeb Bush: Well, Jake, with all due respect to Secretary Clinton, I don't accept the new norm of two percent growth. I believe two percent growth hurts the middle class, which is why I have a plan to achieve four percent growth! Jake Tapper: Secretary Clinton? Hillary Clinton: Well, Jake, we'd all like four percent growth... Kim: Mike? Narrator: Mike's Summer Daydream. Donald Trump: Hey, Crooked Hillary! Need a bathroom break? Disgusting! Kim: Do we want a two-bedroom or three in Vancouver?

There was actually a website set up after George IIâs re-election, to help US citizens apply for Canadian immigration. Wonder if that site is still up?

Donât forget folks, Canada is a British Common Wealth. Just look at who is on their paper money! At least they drive on the right side of the roads, eh? High taxes, and if you are still a US citizen, you still have to at least file, with the IRS! Typically no way out of paying into SS and medicaid/medicare.

If we have political trouble here in the United States â and we do â itâs our job to deal with it, and not run. Fortunately, the Donald will almost certainly be defeated â H.L.Mencken notwithstanding, it IS possible to lose public office by underestimating the intelligence of the great public. But even with the all-too-conservative Hillary Clinton as president, there will be MUCH work for us to do if we want to save the world.

If (God forbid) Trump is elected, it will be more than garden variety âpolitical troubleâ here in the U.S. Unfortunately, itâs not easy at all to emigrate to Canada â I know, Iâve done the research. Itâs not impossible, but who knows, maybe Justin Trudeau will have a refugee program for us Yanks.

Whether Clinton or Trump wins, weâre in for four more years of bitter partisan hatred. Iâll be voting for Gary Johnson. Heâs fiscally conservative, socially tolerant, heâs promised to put both Democrats and Republicans in his cabinet, and heâs the only rational, decent human being in the race. Heâs the only hope for bringing this country together.

The best thing that could happen for the US is that all you who threaten to leave over this election, actually pack your bags and do it. Go ahead, your whining will not be missed.

So America would have fell for the unrealistic growth target olâ Jeb pulled out of his butt, because he thought 4% sounded like a nice round number?.Especially with Jebâs stated plan for a return to massive tax cuts for the wealthy and âvoodoo economicsâ.. That ambitious goal was first raised as Bush and other advisers to the George W. Bush Institute discussed a distinctive economic program the organization could promote, recalled James Glassman, then the instituteâs executive director.. âEven if we donât make 4 percent it would be nice to grow at 3 or 3.5,â said Glassman, now a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. In that conference call, âwe were looking for a niche and Jeb in that very laconic way said, âfour percent growth.â It was obvious to everybody that this was a very good idea.â

Why do the people who say if Trump wins they are moving to Canada? They never say Mexico, what are they Bigots?
marzipANn over 8 years ago
Moving to Canada is, of course, running away from America when it needs you. If the country is headed by an unbalanced president who cannot attend to a problem for more than ten minutes, then it will need every thinking person, left and right, to stay here and work to save the country.,

@Tom HylandWhen Donald Trump publicly praises murderous dictators who were (or are) avowed enemies of the United States of America, is he THINKING or FEELING?

It would be great if all the liberals flee the country after Trump is elected. Alas, I suspect most of them are bluffing.

@dwdl21 Vancouver is a satellite city, it depends on strong tech and entertainment economies and trade between first the US and then other foreign nations along the Pacific Rim. Itâs steady growth is due in large part to becoming âNorth Hollywoodâ and an extension of the US West Coast tech hub â the California through Washington states. The âweakerâ Canadian dollar makes labor, goods, production and housing more attractive, along with one of the most accommodating cultures to the US in the world. With housing costs in Silicon Valley skyrocketing, even the exorbitant rates in VC, BC are much more affordable, along with technology that makes remote working a reasonable proposition (co-workers and/or companies purchase homes in pairs then swap/share between them when needed in one location or another).

I would reverse the feeling/thinking labels on the candidates. Trump is trying to use the feeling of fear to keep the voters from thinking. âTheyâre rapists! Theyâre murders!â Remember, the Tea Party is suspicious of intellectuals, and Hillary strikes me as too wonky.

Jackâs World couldnât (successfully) insult anybody with five time bombs and six flame throwers. As for Tom Hyland, currently Trump is snuggling up to the war-criminal, Putin, yes, but I had more in mind his praise for Saddam Hussein, who âonlyâ killed half as many people as Assad has (so farâŠ..)
