Happy New Year to everyone. For the new year I was wondering where and when everyone found BCN. Was it on the original Breaking Cat News site or GoComics or the newspaper. I first read it on the original site after hearing about it on http://comicsidontunderstand.com. I think the first one I read was the last strip in the first Christmas special. It didn’t take me long to go back to the beginning and read all the strips and become hooked.

Lupin so optimistic, Puck so enthusiastic, Elvis so realistic. There’s no food!

Wait did someone switch out Lupin’s decaf for regular coffee?

@Hedgehog, have you been talking to my boys? I just got in from my friends about 1:30am to discover the Christmas tree on the ground and ornaments everywhere. Innocent ginger reporters announced that nothing had occurred here and didn’t know anything about any tipping incidents. I’ve cleared the floor for now but I guess the tree’s coming down later today :)

The sun won’t be up until at least 9:00, so ther’s little incentive to get up right now, at 5:00.

Good morning all. Looks like most posts so far were around the midnight hour in various time zones. In our house we flake out regularly around 9 and saw no reason to stay up so we are up at our ‘normal’ aka ‘tummy food bowl empty’ time. 5 am during Daylight Savings but 4 am when we return to Winter time. The pets simply refuse to adjust to human silliness in re time. However, first nap time closely follows breakfast so we generally snooze off again till the real sun peeks over the horizon. Minus 12 degrees right now and the screen door handle actually hurt when I let the dogs out. Keep warm everybody in northern climes.

Good morning and a Happy New Year to our Mega-Orbster, Georgia (and her family) and to all the orbsters and their orbabies. May 2018 bring you all health, wealth, and happiness, and may our orbs continue to gently bump each other in friendship.

I discovered BCN earlier in 2017 when it was recommended by Gocomics. Since then our local paper started carrying it last summer. However I had put it on my list of daily comics and still go to it on Gocomics also. 1. It’s in color here and not so in my local paper. 2. Local paper does not carry the Sunday one. 3. I like the people and the comments here. It’s a friendly, polite and upbeat place to come—-especially after seeing what the comments are in other places. Happy New Year to everyone.

I wish I could get up at 7 every day. 5 is my alarm this time of year. And 4:30 or even 4 for other parts. But then again, I long for the days that I stayed up until 11. I like night more. Just saying I’m so jealous, I guess.

Happy 2018 everyone! May it be a year that is more rife with possibilities than with lies! And may we all continue to support and encourage each other with love and respect, especially when differences of opinions occur. Let this continue to be a safe, loving haven for all. Thank you again Georgia for creating a strip and atmosphere that inspired this type of community!! Love and hugs to everyone!

Puck appears to be sitting ON the Woman as he reports. My kitty does this too, every morning, but tends to recite a litany of complaints, more like Elvis. (It is never too early to get me up, as far as she is concerned.)

An empty food bowl at 8:33am would cause a mutiny here!

My husband discovered it one day in 2015 and forwarded the link to me. As a long-time cat person who at the time (and still today) had three cats though not all males like Georgia’s, I recognized all the situations and behaviours, etc., and completely fell in love – especially with Georgia’s gentle humour and the strong positive feedback from BCN viewers on the original boards. I’m happy I was able to give the book to my mother (who also loved cats) about 6 weeks before she died at the age of 85; she was just as pleased as I was, but having an old modem-based system she would never have been able to see the comics online, it would have taken years to upload them!

Just finished taking down all the Christmas decorations and packing them away! Happy 2018 to all the BCN orbsters!
