Beautiful Bowie tribute :) My Mum met him the last time he was in Vancouver, chatted away for 10-15 minutes in the hotel lobby. She knew he was a singer but didn’t remember his name (probably why he didn’t mind chatting) as I discovered later when she was telling me about it. Took numerous back and forths before I identified him for her – it was the odd coloured eyes that gave me the necessary clue to say who it was.

This reminds me of Christmas, when we put up the projectors that project red and green lights all over the house. To my kitty, they were huge laser pointers and she was beside herself with trying to get all the dancing dots. Maybe next Christmas there could be a story like that.

I first thought “Harry Potter” when I saw the lightning bolt on Lupin’s face. He’s the “chosen cat”. I’m too old for Bowie, but not for Harry!

My cats figured out early on that rainbows, like hummingbirds, are an optical illusion.

One time when crazed cat pupils would be appreciated.

Awwwww… thank you for the Bowie “wing day” anniversary tribute. <3

Terrible day.This morning i got a text from the widow of one of my old clients. Her dog (St. Bernard) was down and having some kind of issue, and she asked if i could bring my van.

(Thank you again to everyone that helped me get it.)

By the time i got there she had called her Vet. They contacted another Vet that did house calls. He wasn’t going to be there for another hour, so i got down on the floor to pet and comfort Cadbury (as in the candy because she’s so sweet). Mom couldn’t because she is also a client with mobility issues of her own.

The vet got there and said that he couldn’t do anything. The issue was somehow neurological. And it was probably causing a lot of pain. Cadbury was panting and foaming and lost control of her bladder.

By that time there were three caregivers there.

We comforted the lady (whose name i can’t use here because she is a client) and the dog as the Vet gave Cadbury her last shots.

I then took Cadbury to the pet crematory.

Cadbury WAS sweet, just like her name. A big goofy loveing old puppy.

My friend/client is now home alone. And i feel terrible for her.
