Love their banter. Reminds me of several seemingly endless fights with my little sister many years ago, and similarly never-ending clashes between my two boys these days. :)
My sister and I didn’t really grow up together. She was five years younger than I, and I went to a boarding school for the six middle years. To top it off, we were NEVER allowed to touch each other.
Luann and Brad’s sibling relationship has always been a humorous analog for my personal feelings about being an only child; should I be happy being only, or do I miss not having a sibling? They are so fun though and as Templo says, they have grown up somewhat (lol).
Me? No idea. Was an only child. However, I raised two boys. They were very close as children but when they hit their teens, WHEW! Fist fights, punch holes in the walls, yelling, chest bumps, door slamming (they would door-slam, come out, and do it again to out-slam each other) and took things from each other without permission. When they were small, I envied them and wished I had a sibling but when they hit their teens, I changed my mind. I appreciate my quiet and calm childhood.
I used to burn and bury my kid sister’s Barbie dolls. I was a real craphead but she forgave me long ago. I know so many siblings who haven’t talked to each other in thirty or more years. I’m thankful for our relationship.
Last item: With the passing of Mort Walker, maybe Beetle Bailey can get updated uniforms. They are still wearing uniforms from the Korean War that are over 60 years old.

Pud’s the only one who hasn’t grown up, yet he may be the most mature one of the lot.

Watch it, Luann. For people of your age, that’s domestic violence.

If you actually grew up with a brother or sister you’d know the last panel is nonsense.

As a child my elder sister was always mean to me. So one April fools day I lined her bed with matzos before covering with fitted sheet.

When I remind my sister of some torture she inflicted upon me, she has an attack of amnesia.

Yesterday, we lost a cartooning legend.
Morton Walker, creator of “Beetle Bailey,” “Hi and Lois,” et al., has passed away at the age of 94.

If ‘Eye-Rolling’ was an event in an ‘Animal Olympics’, then Puddles would medal for sure in Panel 4!! :)

Brad and Luann, so saccharine-sweet together. Poor Puddles, sucked into this incredible fantasy. One of them must be dreaming….
