Lupin is going to miss out on the bonus points for knocking over the lamp. Maybe during the dismount??

Elvis looks none too pleased at this experiment :)

Lupin Lupin Lupin, the aftershocks from this early morning seismic event may be quite strong but clearly our cat of adventure is willing to take the risk for the sake of science ;)

It always amazes me how cats seem to fall from the ceiling when they leap onto the bed in the middle of the night.

at 4:32am, per the clock, the next gravity experiment will be our reporters finding themselves tossed into the air out of the bedroom.

The lamp has an owl’s face, but I can’t make anything of the pattern on the shade.

The Cat of Adventure is about to crash upon the unsuspecting, dreaming heads of the Man and Woman! His expression seems to say, “Bombs away!” lol! I love the owl lamp. I wonder what design is on the shade? Are those moths?

Hmmm, I don’t know Boys. Testing gravity on the People’s heads at 04:32 while they’re sleeping right after the second breakfast scam might not be the smartest thing to do. But then, when do cats ever take that into consideration?

I’m surprised that Puck didn’t have a chart to explain gravity and height of a fall exponentially increasing the People’s reaction to a cat landing on their heads.

Because cats so frequently defy gravity — and in so many spectacular ways — it’s important that they constantly test to see that it’s still operating, hence the many Galileo-inspired experiments of knocking things from heights toward the ground. (Or perhaps it’s the other way around, that Galileo saw cats performing these tests and he was inspired to investigate the nature of falling objects.)

This is my bedroom every morning (except minus one cat but plus two dogs). The bed has a tall headboard and I am always amazed that smallish cats can land like bowling balls. Meanwhile dogs are bouncing and nuzzling. No choice but to get up.

The owl lamp seems to have a shade memorializing the July bug too. At first I thought it might be a tribute to a robber gang but closer inspection inclines me to the infamous bug.

We had a British Back who would leap off a table onto friends who had set up sleeping bags in our living room. She was the sister of the cat in Pet Cemetery, although by far the friendliest of the two.

Well, that settles it; my Hemingway must be a distant relative of Lupin. I will seriously never get tired of the boys in their jammies. Lupin’s housecoat looks like a cape (which is the perfect thing to wear for gravity testing). And has anyone else noticed that our sweet Pucky is becoming quite the photographer? I love it! Maybe we’ll get a collage of his work at some point (maybe even in the calendar!).

For years after I had to give them up, I kept the volume on my clock-radio turned down all the way, because the girls would step on it as they walked onto the bed, turning on the radio in the process.

And of course, all these gravity tests have to be conducted in the proper testing environments**

**Proper testing environments for gravity tests : Right above the bed.

Tests assistants must be placed on he bed, close to the impact area to assess and record the gravitational impact.

Test assistants must be sleeping, so that they’re not distracted from other things.

Best results are attained in the absence of outer noise. Which is why this test test has to be conducted in pin drop silence, which is why the ideal time for conducting this test is about 2AM.

I had a water bed with a shelved headboard. Also had a black cat that would jump off the headboard and “ride” the bed. It was hilarious until he started doing it at 3 am.

Good morning, fellow orbsters and orbabies! We’re having another snowy day today, which means at some time Paul will be outside with another tenant, shoveling the walkways, driveway and parking lot. Does anyone other than me find it ironical that it is the tenants who do not own cars and do not drive do all the shoveling? I am feeling better this morning, both mentally and physically, so I will try catching up on a few things. Font Lady, I hope you are doing well. Lady Bri, I apologize for not having gotten back to you yet, I must get to work on that. Shaunnmunn, let me know if you’d like to be a pen pal too.

Sorry if this has already been discovered, but: if you click on the Bottom o the Page Bonus Strip, it’ll take you to that strip’s original page. BUT THEN, if you scroll down and click on the new bonus strip, it’ll take you to that strip’s original page where you can scroll down to a new bonus strip, click on it, etc etc. Random bonus strips over and over and over…

    Oh, Lupin!!

Our cats are banished from the bedroom because they do not let us sleep. Molly, the calico princess, worries that we might be dead, so every five minutes she stomps onto our spleens and yells very loudly directly into our ears. Finnegan, my orange lovebug, snuggles down next to my pillow, close enough for me to put an arm around him, and purrrrrrs… but as soon as I start to drift off, and thus stop scritching him, he decides that it is time to sing the song of his people to us. Loudly. Meeeeeeyow… mrow mrow mrow MEEEEEOWWWWWWW…
