So, you’re trying to say that if you took all the guns away from the law-abiding citizens, and gave them books instead, that the criminals — who already possess their guns illegally and aren’t going to give them up just because the law suddenly says to — will all suddenly go straight? You’re a special kind of intelligent, aren’t you?

I have guns and books. There’s no rational need for a rifle with magazine larger than five rounds, or cooling vents on the forward grip so the barrel won’t overheat, which are two key components of an “assault rifle”.

We had a piano store go out of business and the new buyer of the building rented it out to a gun shop. According to the zoning officials it is all legitimate. A business is a business despite being close to several schools.

That is how it will be until people can register and buy handguns online as easily as they can in person in a gun store. Books, you can download or order from Amazon, no problemo.

Just this. One argument against registration/licensing is that it would let the tyrant government know exactly who the armed citizens were.

Consider this; unless you never used your credit card to buy anything gun related [ammo, hunting license, range time] and never used email to contact another gun owner, a tyrant government would know who the gun owners were anyway.

News Flash! If Nickolas Cruz had been declared mentally incompetent, it would have be HARDER for him to get the gun! NOT IMPOSSIBLE! ONLY HARDER! The Death Cult sees to it that everyone can get a gun, even the BLIND!

The question to which no USA citizen wants to give an anwer (even the most civilised at the end vote for free guns): how many criminals were arrested/ wounded/ killed by simple armed citizens, and how many citizens, even armed ones, were killed/ wounded by criminals? And yet it is quite simple: if I enter your house with a gun in my hand and you have to go and reach for your gun (unless you sleep wit a pijama-holster) you are DEAD. Period. The same for armed teachers and janitors… Can you imagine Mrs Wormwood of Calvin&Hobbes pointing a Python 45 agains a teenager with a black coat entering the classroom and shooting him in the face for “preventive reasons”?

A handgun is a reasonable weapon for self-defense. A rifle is a reasonable weapon for hunting. An automatic weapon with a large clip is a reasonable weapon for murdering large numbers of people in a short period of time.

Actually, a major retailer in the northwest has announced it will stop selling firearms altogether. Also, since it was Amazon that killed the brick-and-mortar bookstores, there’s no relation between the two industries.

Actually, in countries, some of them “civilized,” where the people can’t have guns, the government tends to tell them what books they can read.

I was viewing recently the film ‘Idiocracy’. If you change the big black guy by some horny overcompensating little old man and throw in some kkk suits, you may have as well a historic documentary.

Some things about it: shootings, either in schools, or the redneck that shoots his neighbor because he gave him the stink eye, or because nobody treads on me, they are all ‘good guys’, and they had their guns because they have to defend themselves from the government, or because whatever excuses people have already written above. And when they use those guns for other things they all have excuse for doing that.

Recently I posted about how Russia is becoming the world troll and I compared them with some people with Bart Simpson complex. Its people nobody gives a damn about. Nobody looks at them, because they have nothing to stand out, but yet people have to give them attention. So how do they call for attention? look at my gun. And if you don’t look at my gun I’ll shoot you. Same thing with Russia; the cold war is over, and they have nothing to stand out, but they miss the attention. Nobody is paying attention to them anymore?, then how about bullying the rest of the world. Look at my missiles, even though I have no reason to use them, and trolling the rest of Europe or even USA even helping to place in power the little orange puppetWhy is there a relation with things like kkk and the redneck association of America (NRA)? because they are nobodies that have no other way to stand out

It’s working quite nicely in Canada, Australia, Japan, the U.K. and the E.U. Only in the US do we have children being routinely slaughtered in their classrooms. How many more children will you sacrifice so that your eccentric friends can stroll around in public with their AR-15s, a military weapon that was designed to kill as many humans in as short a time as possible?

I never understood the gun culture or saw its appeal. Do gun owners fantasize about the Wild West era or see themselves as reincarnations of the pioneers? This is the 21st Century, not the 1800s.

If we take away the statistics of five major liberal cities, the United States drops to number 189 of 193 “civilized” countries in gun violence, proving that liberals are the real problem.

Something must be done!! We need more Gun control laws.

    - We need for schools to be Gun Free Zones. Oh, they are. – We need to pass a law saying you can’t buy a gun if you are under 21! Oh, they already did that up there. – We need to ban Assault Rfiles completely! Oh, Massachusetts aleady did. (How did he attack without an assault rifle?) – Good News, An armed Resource Officer on scene (Good guy with a gun) sucessfully stopped the bad guy with a gun. – The Resource officer did not hesitate but went in and stopped the threat unlike the Broward County personnel. Moral: Guns can save lives.Maybe we need to start worrying about the people that commit crimes. You won’t see this in the media much as it doensn’t fit certain agendas.

OK, we can quit arguing about guns! The bad buys have moved on. In England they have gone to knives but in Austin TEXAS they are now using BOMBS! Since FedEx deliver them we need to ban FedEx. FedEx just enables people to kill more and faster. (Actually if you think about it, it is true.)

Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives should be the name of a convenience store, not a government bureau. Funny how gun ownership has gone up, while violent crime has gone down, isn’t it. Like puzzling over why we have so many people in prison when our crime rate has dropped. Takes a very special kind of intelligence to ask that question.
