So, the first things he puts on after getting out of the shower (besides the towel) are shoes and socks?

If your going to walk around in nothing but a towel, why the shoes and socks? Gunther should invest in a sharpie and buy his own beverages. Not sure is Les will respect the whole it has my name on it thing but that has a serious ick factor to it.

Socks, tennis shoes, and a towel around his waist? Either he showers with his shoes on or it’s laundry day.

You know, the whole “new step-siblings forced to live together despite hating each other” thing only works if the two characters are children or teenagers, as legal adults can just move away (unless of course if the character’s being too old for these shenanigans is the whole point, as in the movie Step Brothers.) All this does is make Gunther look more and more pathetic, as unlike Les (who has a criminal record and therefore fewer options) he can go elsewhere. Maybe he can catch a return flight to Peru and see if Rosa has finished raking up all the dirt yet! He can also bring her a fresh backpack full of sticks! Or all joking aside: he can move into the Moony Uni dorm. And holiday breaks won’t even be a problem, since as Tiffany and Bernice have illustrated, it’s permissible to stay in the dorms even during summer vacation.

I get that the attire is at once overly formal (black socks and wingtips) and overly casual (a towel), but seriously, is no one put off by Les drinking from the carton with the fridge door open?

How many bedrooms are there? If teh Frank DeGroots can put up with Les (A big IF) then instead of “remodeling” their rental, Let Brad, and, Toni buy Al Gray’s “guest house.” Especially if TJ stays and offers to cook for the Grays, in exchange for his share of the mortage.

Nice introduction, Les is smart enough to defend when someone unexpected comes in his house (his and Gunther’s); what would Gunther do if that happened? I think something similar actually. It’s a very interesting modernist house, with a contemporary kitchen. So all is in place, wedding plans for August, accommodations for the man-children; man is Les a skinny dude, not as all like he was drawn in high school. Not a bully boy. No one seems to noticed that.

Les has a point. Even though Gunther is pictured in the last frame, it was Mr. Gray who opened the door without knocking. Does he honestly feel entitled to barge in unannounced at any time without the respect of knocking? Gunther and Les should be the only ones who don’t have to knock.

And Coming Up Later during a Laugh Filled “Torture Gunther Week”

    1) Les tells Gunther in no uncertain terms, who the “Boss” is around here. (Gunther Capitulates)

    2) Les has already chosen the Largest bedroom in the house and stored all of his junk in Gunther’s bedroom. (Gunther Capitulates)

    3) Les spells out What Gunther’s duties are in the Guest House Gulag and what time he expects his meals to be served. (Gunther Capitulates)

    4) Irma walks in on Les beating the living daylight out of her son on the kitchen floor, but thinks it’s cute that the “Boys are Finally Getting along!” (Gunther Capitulates)

    5) Les takes an interest in Tiffany for no other reason than to irritate Gunther. Tiffany on the other hand, takes Les’ advances as real and falls in love, and later, gets her heart broken. (Gunther Capitulates)

    6) Rosa returns from Peru and Les now zeros right in on her, now. (Gunther Capitulates)

    7) Ann Eiffel announces She has married Tom. Les is Enraged, Tiffany is doubly heart broken. Gunther accidentally laughs at Les’ predicament but catches himself too late. Les vows revenge for laughing at him. (Gunther Capitulates)

    8) Les destroys Gunther’s sewing machine in a fit of revenge. (An Enraged Gunther proceeds to pull Les apart like warm bread)

And the Five Gunther Fans live Happily ever after.

Until the Voluptuous Drop Dead Gorgeous Female Engineering Student shows up. And falls for the “wounded” Les……, ;)

    Quick detail comment:

The house unit is pre-fab, most likely – two pieces put together. That’s after the foundation was poured with utilities put in place. There likely is (hopefully) a VERY heavy-duty gutter in the middle. Seen similar before – but the middle can become a problem.

Just thought – it’s maybe symbolic of two parts that don’t really don’t go together – just like Gunther and Les!!

All these comments are really funny. Young men of that age always walk around in “casual” attire when alone in their home. Les was probably embarrassed that he was caught in his towel. Shoes & socks? No explanation. Maybe his feet are cold! Drinking out of the carton – tell me no-one has caught his son drinking right out of the milk carton and I’ll snort!
