Distractions is right. We are distracted from the important questions.

Chocolate comes from a vegetable, right?

Indeed.

Here we go again.

And Danae provides plenty of distractions. I guess Joe didn’t notice Katy being gone for two years at culinary school.

Kate is left handed, or on the other hand, could be ambidextrous ? :)

And during the next distraction with Danae, Kate will grow up, get married and you will be a grandfather.

Another reason kids shouldn’t have access to the Internet: So they can’t evidence shame you into becoming a vegan.

Is distracted chopping a thing in culinary school? Because those carrots are flying!

Oh, here we go. Let’s see, yesterday, I had plain yogurt for breakfast, baked chicken and rice for lunch, and beef tortillas for dinner. Tonight, my wife is making matzo ball soup (with chicken) for dinner since the grandkids will be over.

I had a very active older sister who liked to push her “independence.” My parents were so focused on her that I got to fly under the radar.

Well if it’s French cuisine she is probably cooking frog legs and escargot in a truffle sauce.

Kate has been enjoying the advantages of being the quiet child…so easy to slip under the radar and enjoy herself.

As always, the squeaky wheel gets the oil and the olthers just work. “Life moves pretty fast…”

In real time, both Danae and Kate are in at least their mid-20s by now. In comic strip time, only Wiley Miller knows.

Kind of miss Bob’s upbeat commentary on life. Be interesting to see where this goes.

I thought Uncle Bob was a lawyer??? how can he be a vegan?

There are lots of exciting and tasty dishes that are meatless. Vegetarians and Vegans get a bad rap.

While I am still a self-confessed omnivore, my diet for many, many years leans heavily towards fruits, vegetables, dairy, grains, fresh fish, some poultry and very little red meat. Works for me. Keeps my cholesterol levels and blood pressure where they should be and keeps me away from the doctor.

Vegetarians and vegans do not force your life style through intimidation on those who eat meat, poultry and fish. Nor should the latter on the former. I have too many food allergies to be the first. I live the life-style that is the healthiest for me as you should.

Often the case with the quiet normal kid in a family. He or she gets almost no attention while the kid that acts out gets it all.

I tried to go vegetarian for two years, at first pretty muchvegan, then ovum lactose.. but in all I was always exhausted. I have no energy. all that solved with meat.

A local cooking academy restaurant closed in an expensive shopping district closed. It was a for-profit school that had the cooks and staff paying for the privilege of cooking for them.

We are designed to be omnivores, not to just eat plants or just meat, having said that, I’ll take a bacon cheeseburger and a dozen wings (extra hot) please.

Okay, and a salad.

It’s a good thing for daddy that Kate thinks World Domination isn’t worth the time & trouble it would be to manage after she got it.

As Charlie Brown so wisely once said, “I refuse to get involved in a theological discussion”….Speak to me After your “New years” Hangover…..

Kate knows that she didn’t graduate culinary school. She knows that she “graduated from culinary school.” I’m sorry to read that her dad doesn’t seem to have reached her level of intelligence and education.

Nice to see a strip about Kate. She sometimes gets lost in the chaos that is Danae. Also a gentle rebuke to her father to remind him he has two daughters.

Our dental structure and physiology says we’re meant to be omnivores, the key is balance, and regulating our populations in balance to the environments we live in also matters. With our foods now coming from hundreds, or thousands, of miles away from where we live, makes economics, more than production, responsible for the famines we see, and destruction of habitat for “food” production, whether growing grains etc., for us, or for the animals we eat.

How sad if Kate is that ignored by her dad, but nice that she knows how to take care of herself.

What’s the matter, Kate? The CIA not good enough for you?

The word vegan means bad hunter.

Yep – never fails. Anytime you have at least two kids, one is often so different than the other.
