If Cap’n Eddie really did land his lobster boat on top of an airliner ……….. aw, never mind. It’s the bourbon talking. Now what was Homeland security doing talking to Eddie?

Some days I really feel like buying a lobstah, uh, lobster boat and exploring the lesser known corners of the world.

That’s quite a feat of aerodynamics!

That makes perfect sense to me, at least the Homeland Sahcurity part.

Apart from fantasy sequences, have we ever actually seen Captain Eddie on his boat?

Wiley claims to have no knowledge of Sir Terry Pratchett, but that boat with its wings has a lot in common with the ship in “The Last Hero”.

Methinks Cap’n Eddie has been catching up on the Mission Impossible movies.

And that is why Eddie is riding on the outside of the plane and not the inside. He didn’t catch any lobsters for Homeland Security.

Hey, why let the facts get in the way of a good story??

Has the name of the ship always been “Anoesis”? I never noticed it before. It would mean something like “no understanding” or “no pereception” in Greek.

anoesis: consciousness that is pure passive receptiveness without understanding or intellectual organization of the materials presented(Merriam-Webster definition) Seems to represent the boat itself while Eddie? Who knows. The wind of chance maybe?

“As long as you keep in mind who’s speakin.” Captain Eddie and Trump have much in common.

I really appreciate the attempt that Wiley makes at translating “New Englandish” for us. My neighbor was from Boston; but, it was like he was from another country. Tennessee drawl is easier to decipher.

I thught the Anoesis was lost when Eddie and the cat ended up stranded on an island…..

No more unbelievable than most things I have been hearing in the news these days. Home Land Security never had much of a sense of humor and it did not get any better during the shutdown where HS employees did not get paid but still had to work.

My Grandfather was the Captain of a steam-powered oyster boat and a lighthouse keeper. When we were kids he’d keep us spellbound for hours with his fantastic tales. I miss that.

Eddie is so boring. Hate his long, ridiculous stories. Not up to par with the rest of this brilliant strip.

How come commercial planes don’t have luggage racks on the roof like cars do?

Shouldn’t Cap’n Eddie’s ship be named the Anoesis II since losing the first one in the last whopper of a storm? What was I thinking? It was a whopper of a story, not storm.
