Pig, since you’re already going to bring them, can you get me a BLT on a toasted everything bagel?

Pig in the final point brings a valid point. (I’m sure it would be PETA-approved if the bacon were manufactured by Morningstar Farms.)

Nothing more un-kosher than a bagel with pulled pork, bacon, ham, and cream cheese.

There’s a good chance PETA and other purists gave us IQ45. A net loss for their causes, and the country.

The expression “when pigs fly” must be verboten, too, since that represents animal entertainment.

As I see it, we’ve had a couple of million years of evolution to make us what we are today – Omnivores. I am perfectly happy to eat a salad with my steak; but I’m not about to betray my heritage by giving up the steak.

a new level of idiocy. So they want us to be vegetarians? big deal if I buy bacon in the store and bring it home, or that would also be political incorrect. Sad when the institutions themselves become sjw for the most moronic and brain dead reasons

When PETA is trying to explain that it’s just as easy to eat products without hurting animals, “It’s just as easy to eat a veggie burger instead of beef”. Ummm, excuse me, I’ll take the beef and leave that disgusting option for you guys…

That comic strip is getting pretty crowded, cluttered, with words. Why, there’s barely enough room to swing a cat!(Interestingly, this old expression comes from, not a kitty cat, but a cat o’nine tails whip)

There used to be a small lunch place near Harvard Square that sold something they called the “Blasphemy”: a kosher hot dog, topped with bacon and cheese.

Shouldn’t there be an AETP – Animals for the Ethical Treatment of People? Where is the campaign to stop sharks from eating the swimmers? Where is the movement to stop bears from chomping the hikers? Where is the outreach to halt snakes from biting the person mowing the lawn? How about a little parity here?

And while we’re on the subject, shouldn’t there be an AETOA – Animals for the Ethical Treatment of Other Animals? Should not predatory animals convert to vegetarianism? Shouldn’t the Early Bird make do with seed from a feeder, so the poor early worm can fetch his newspaper without fear? Shouldn’t mosquitoes find food sources other than some other creatures’ life’s blood? The list is endless, you know.

i think pastis is a covert PETA advocate, using this as a ploy to get people to think about these things that they otherwise wouldn’t because anything PETA does is so far off the vast majority of people’s radar it wouldn’t register a blip.

I was hoping that Stephan was kidding about this but PETA really does support this and they had the bad taste and downright obliviousness to compare these phrases to racist and homophobic language. Shame on PETA.
