I love that Burt got the power back up … :) annnd where, ahem, is the Man??

Do not mess with cat unions. They are known the world over for their uncompromising contract negotiating prowess.♥ Also, they won’t hesitate to pee in your shoes.

Burt, could I call you when I need help with electrical problems?

No cat works 24 hours a day, no matter what they may try to get you to believe. They may be on the clock 24 hours a day, but they spend about 20 of those hours sleeping in the studio break room.

So many questions! Did Burt restore power to the whole house or just to the BCN equipment? Why is he talking about fuses when that is clearly a breaker box? Did Natasha flip a circuit breaker off? Was she hiding from the goth cat who may or may not be Goldie?

I spy one of the Robber Mice Sisters!

Might the robber mouse peeking out of the circuit breaker box have something to do with the station power being out even though the lights appear to be back on in the house? What possible reason could Natasha have for keeping the cameras and monitors off? Quick! Check the food dishes!

Ah Burt! He know Elvis. Elvis has had a difficult night and that’s as close as he can get to “thank you” right now.

When a “repair” is needed, try the easiest thing to check, first, like, “Is it plugged in?”

It doesn’t take much time or energy, and it might work.

What a Good Boy Burt is! Not only fixing everything, but handling Elvis with grace, aplomb, and patience. Some gesture of appreciation is well-deserved. Thank you, Burt!

I saw this coming Saturday. Now we’re all hanging until the next episode of O9L!

So does the BCN equipment run to a different circuit box than the People stuff in the house? I’d hope if it was something as simple as a blown fuse the Man would have caught it, and Burt did mention the electric company…

I love that our electric utility is actually called City Light. So retro.

Chill, Elvis, breakers have been known to trip after power is restored (or fuses blow). Also, it appears something may need to be plugged back in, if you look at the first panel. Mind you, Natasha may have tripped the breaker on purpose.

You don’t ‘flip’ a fuse. You flip a circuit breaker.

That’s actually a breaker, but “fuse” is close.

Had to call the electrician. One fuse had blown. Odd fuse that you could not tell it was blown. Sneaky things. Felt so silly.

Is the box Burt is standing on the one Goldie is hiding in? And Puck is reporting live from the laundry room, so will he be the one to find her?

I’m curious: Who is the bigger fussbudget? Lucy van Pelt, or Elvis Meezer?

Stay calm, Pucky. A good reporter keeps his cool when his fellow reporter and the AV cat around him are losing theirs.

Oy, some days it just doesn’t pay to get out of the cat bed.

Old houses sometimes have more than one breaker panel, especially if they have additions or were divided for apartments.

To everyone debating “fuse” vs. “breaker box”, I wonder… Has the Big Pink House blown a fuse…or has Elvis? :D That could be an ambiguous “you” in this context!

So, I have a question. I realize Our IX Lives was a rerun while we awaited the return of power and basement invasion and such but…I thought it was still a televised soap; how could it be on air? Was Burt sending it out from the farm like a test signal? Did he have power? I’m sure I ask too many questions but my curiosity can rival a cats sometimes.

If we were on a psychedelic tour of a Newport mansion during this power outage, we could watch The Breakers’ breakers tripping, tripping.

I’m waiting for the Man to say “Wow, the power’s back on. How fortunate that none of our breakers in the basement tripped.” If he only knew.

You just know that as soon as Burt gets out of the basement, he’s going to face-paw.

I once waited 45 minutes with three other engineers for a union electrician to come back from a long-lunch retirement party, just so he could attach two wires to a system.

Burt is so calm and cool. Cute too.

Good news: I may have a place to live. Tell you tomorrow.

Bad news: Foxy had fleas and may have infectious anemia. If she does, we’ve caught it before she was as sick as Jasper was before I noticed. Testing is about $55. Tell you tomorrow. KEEP PURRING. Bless you all.

There’s just one thing that’s puzzling me: if Burt is doing the repair, then who wrote the chyron?

Why couldn’t man figure that out? Go Burt!
