In most comics internal debates, there’s an angel on one shoulder and devil on the other. For Chet, looks like the devil’s replaced by his middle finger.

Gil is one step ahead of this fool. He sanitized the records when he got Chance’s new birth certificate through HvB. The man is a State Champion, remember.
