Time for some research! (and/or investigative reporting!) If only they had someone on the crew who specialized in that!

Such concern on little Beatrix’s face. I wonder if Natasha knows more than she’s letting on. No wonder the raccoons are defensive since they really aren’t to blame—just a case of wrong place; wrong time.

With the facial markings on racoons, does Natasha feel some kinship with them?

Natasha, why are you gasping? You knew that already, you heard it transcribed! And, Sophie, being fabulous isn’t ‘everything’.

So maybe Sophie is the one who can contact the racoons!

I have a bad feeling that Goldie is going to be a recession cat…..a term the Rescues I am part of use for cats left behind when people loose their home and have to move, move in with friends and family or go into a Shelter.

Do the raccoons have evil intentions towards the boys’ people? Are their people headed towards a sticky and trashy end?

Then again, I have a good feeling that The People of Elvis Lupin, and Puck will be giving her a good forever home.

You heard it folks! One cannot argue with a cat of Sophie’s caliber, taste, and quality! If she deems the racoons as fabulous, well then by Cat they are! :D

Ancient astronaut theorists suggest that raccoons are creatures from outer space. They further suggest that these space raccoons were once a part of a guardians group that guarded the galaxies.

Puck raises an important point. Can the racoons make their people disappear?

Those are the only animals with two spots in that book: R for Raccoons and T for Trash pandas!

Meanwhile, Lupin continues to sulk.

Natasha probably learned the value of “gasp” sound effects from watching “Our IX Lives.”

Did Sophie paint that Trash Panda – ahem, I mean -Fabulous Fashion Raccoon Warrior picture?

The gentle fantasy world where all cats get along, cats cooperate, dogs and cats don’t fight and raccoons are scruffy fun neighbors, is a pleasant diversion. Thank you for the style and gentle, effective humor. Your production quality is excellent and interesting as well.

I love that their reference for Racoons is a Letter Picture Book, probably from the kids section of the Bookstore.

Obviously, Natasha spends a lot of time at the library and knew where to find a book on raccoons!

Don’t tell Lupin, but he’s kind of adorable when he’s sulking.

Oh, dear. Is this conversation causing Beatrix to have flashbacks about being abandoned before being found in the Void? I volunteer to pick her up and cuddle her.

Sophie sees art and beauty in just about anything.

I love how Sophie comments the raccoons for their style!

Of course Sophie would appreciate anyone who can transform trash into adornment!

I almost want Goldie to continue to think it is the Raccoons’ fault that her people disappeared. I am afraid the truth will be much sadder for Goldie.

Meanwhile, Lupin is is still disgruntled over the loss of his tape recorder to the orange cat he saw first and that no one seems to mind but him. Poor Lupin.

Sophie, the devil wears Prada. Wise up, girl!

I love Beatrix basing her limited understanding on a children’s book. So sweet. does that mean she is in charge of the children’s section? As well she should be!!!

Goldie, I’m afraid the trash pandas are not responsible for your people leaving. I think your little heart will break when you find out the truth.

No Sophie, raccoons are not FABULOUS.

This just in from Georgia’s Facebook, “Fun fact: The raccoon in the book is from an alphabet book I started to illustrate shortly after my son was born! I still have some of the illustrations, if folks are interested I’ll share more here at some point.”

So here’s the picture of His Majesty <————. The new king of our castle. We went to vet vet yesterday, all good except a few round worms. A couple doses of wormer and those will be history too. The vet thinks he has a lot of Siamese due to his long nose. It would also explain his weird meow and growl. So he is a black tabby/Siamese with a small white chest spot. The Siamese also explains why he is so much like Miscreant was. His Majesty is fearless. I take him with me to my parents with the dogs every day too. He loves it. I now have a new traveling side kick. Two dogs and a cat go with me, my traveling family. The girls howl at the thought of getting closed on the carrier.

Lupin still has the pip and won’t participate in the discussion. So cute…. with his little grumpy face.

Sophie’s idea of fabulous in this case is fashion/performance art.

Well, at least the girl racoon is fabulous.

Sounds like the raccoons are Busy Being Fabulous (as the Eagles sang in 2007) …
