Given Jason’s insanity about his PBJ sandwich, he would have refused to drink it if his mom had poured him sqrt(1) + sqrt(4) + sqrt(25) + sqrt(16) ounces.
I was in the grocery store a few months back and I remember overhearing 4 guys talking about what kind of soda to get, I put in my 2 cents worth by pointing out that everyone likes root beer, three of them were nodding their heads in agreement when the fourth one said, “I don’t like foot beer.” I didn’t stick around to see what they decided after that.

That’s too serious

Mutter whatever you want. Since it’s root beer, you have to stop a little early.
dadoctah about 5 years ago
Surely Jason knows that you can’t just take the root of some number and disregard the units.

If he put his root beer into a square glass, it would be beer.

Paige needs to surreptitiously add a dropper full of Full Spectrum CBD oil to Jason’s root beer … supposed to have a calming effect on weirdos ….

I’m surprised Jason didn’t note that the full glass contained the square root of 9 times the square root of 16 ounces.
WaitingMan about 5 years ago
If he used the negative roots the root beer would pour from the glass back into the bottle.
cubswin2016 about 5 years ago
Is there a kid in the comics weirder than Jason?

Ahhhhhh ROOT beer. I see what you did there.
Crandlemire about 5 years ago
Two things. First the total is only 12 oz — secondly, if you needed a calculator to figure this comic then you need to brush up on your basic math.
jel354 about 5 years ago
Paige not be negative would certainly be imaginary (i).

How long has it been since we’ve seen a pun like this in FoxTrot? I don’t think I’ve been paying attention.

As well you should Jason.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Don’t even have to be a math nerd to get that one. Honestly, no sarcasm, I thought it was funny and I did laugh out loud.

If he was really serious he would be using a square shaped glass and doing cube roots
cummingso about 5 years ago
…if he poured the root beer with the nutrition facts down, the label should be the other way.
