Then I realised it’s 2019 and near real time bank transfers are possible.

She spends money before she deposits money.

Most banks are now open on Saturdays.

I use “mobile deposit” take a picture of the check then stash it in the drawer! Love on-line banking.

Yeah Opal, I totally buy that. /s

Now I just use my bank’s phone app to deposit checks…that way if that happens to me, I can deposit the check immediately and not have to worry if the bank is open or not!

Wow, Opal went to the Yarn Barn by herself? I thought she always made Earl miserable by forcing him to take her.

I didn’t know they live in Kansas.

The cat will go nuts with all that yarn in the house.

Looks like she’s got a lot of knitting projects for the winter. Good for you, Opal! Earl doesn’t seem to mind, though, she’ll be out of his “hair” for the duration…..LOL

I deposit checks using my phone and its camera. But then that doesn’t get me into the garden barn.

Oh ya, find a retailer who will do that now, and Opal remember the after hours Deposit Box at the bank? Yep, senile and nasty are related.

I think Opal was telling a yarn about the bank.

I used to scoff at places like Yarn Barns and Fabric Centers until I found out how much money these stores make.

My late ex-FIL owned several of these Yarn Barn-type outlets in Western Canada and the Northwest, U.S. I was blown away at how popular they were and how profitable! Woolen & fabric store are to women what hardware stores are to men.

When I lived in Florida, many of the guys faithfully attended the Home Depot Cathedral every Saturday and Sunday morning.

Every bank I’ve dealt with in the last couple of decades is open at least some on Saturday. And of course they all have a deposit box. Where does Crane live?

Even if you don’t have the bank’s phone app, ATM’s are open 24/7 and take cash and checks.
