After yesterday’s comic, I expected Elvis to explode upon the humans to free Puck. Apparently not.

You cats need to understand that the Man and the Woman are not doing this for their own fun!

Our Angry Purritos post-bath never had any trouble flicking their tails with rage, with the exception of the one with the semi-paralyzed hind end. Wet tails make for good People Whappers, and can send water drops flying all over the place.

Revenge is a hairball best served cold in the toe of a shoe!

If this were an opera, the leads would sing a heartfelt love duet … but since this is a Cat Opera, we shall now get the Rage Chorus!

My wife wraps our cat in a towel to protect herself from being clawed/bitten during nail trimming. He does the “tiny babushka of rage” thing too.

I have a steno pad that I am always writing down interesting words and phrases so I can remember. That one is going in, not far from “Oh My Cat!”

Nothing is stopping the TBR’s eyebrows of rage.

O.T. Facebook message from Georgia with a photo of Elvis nose sniffing with a white rat: “Eight years ago, Elvis and our pet rat Freddie (short for Alfred). We had many pet rats over the years, I highly recommend them as pets! Intelligent, affectionate, and clean, rats make wonderful companions. Of course, despite this sweet photo, never leave them alone with cats. Even a cat you trust, just in case. Elvis was a kitten with my pet rats and he was very used to them. Even so, I was always close by, in reach and ready to intercede in case instinct took over. (It never did ) You can‘t be too careful! These fellas were buddies, though, and we all miss Freddie. This arc reminds me of an old internet meme. It’s a picture of a pair of shorts laying on the floor, with a perfect impression of a wet cat butt, front paws and tail on the back pocket. The caption reads something like “We decided to give the cat a bath. I took my shorts off to keep them from getting wet.”

They were bilked out of their property and means of earning a living by a couple of predatory types who “helped” them set up a business, then took it over and kicked them out. Not the first time this has happened to good people, and sadly won’t be the last, but here’s a chance to help out now.

Truly awesome, which is highly appropriate, as today is the Day of Awesomeness, and for once I don’t HATE the overuse of the word “awesome.” Very, very few things, actions, or people are awesome. The word should be reserved for things so immense as to be overwhelming, or nearly so.

Since I can’t avoid laughing at even the thought of the third panel, today’s strip is overwhelming, and therefore, awesome.

Puck is usually much more reasonable than this. Perhaps a pre-Pink House trauma?

I had to slather my cat in margarine when he got his entire tail and rump stuck to an old-fashioned fly strip.

PUCK YOU LAZY BONES!!!!! Smokey is quite fluffy and she still managed to flick it back and forth when wet after a bath.

Actually there is a spectacular LOLCat meme that is very similar to what Puck is going through and to how Puck looks like right now. I would post it here if I knew how.

“babushka” = old woman or grandmother. I thought Puck was adamant that he’s a boy?

Puck is referring to having his head wrapped up in a bab ushka or cover like eastern European older ladies wear. An insult to him but actually a defensive move by the People.

I would Love to see Elvis attack the man! All the cats are too well behaved.

OT: Does Kate Bush always sound like a squeaky 5 year old? This isn’t at all about content—just that her voice is painful to listen to, at least on the two versions of “Wuthering Heights” on YouTube.
