Questions: who is that person, how could she overcome Mysta’s powers and how could she know Mysta used to be Mindy Ermine?

Well, sign me up for this one!

Mysta mysteriously returning to Mindy? That’s a story line I’ve been dreaming of!

As to the lady whose face looks like a truck ran over it – could this be Mindy’s mom?

Even then, how would she know that Mindy is now a Moon Maid?

Is that a dildo on the cabinet behind mystery skank in P. 4 ?  Sounds like she’s got an ax to grind.

I see Dick Tracy isn’t above swiping someone else’s doughnut…..Lizz needs to be quicker at getting to the doughnut box.

How does Tracy know that the kidnapper is a woman?

Come to think of it this could be material for a longest story as it is far more interesting than some past yarns

I’d tell Honeymoon to tidy her room…

Well, this Minit Mystery does look like an actual mystery so far, so I guess that’s a good start. I like the art so far, and I’m trying to ignore the fact that Honeymoon’s right foot looks much smaller than her left foot, even taking perspective into account.

Starts are not the problem, it’s the endings.

I hate these minit mysteries…usually a waste of time

Does this mean the Breathless Story was just a tease? And Mindy doesn’t even look like Mysta at this point—where are the horns? (and those of Honeymoon too)

WTH is going on? I’m so confused. Nobody looks right and nothing makes sense.

The mystery is about the donut, right?

It’s nice to have Mindy acknowledged, even if it’s in a fake story.

For those who think there’s no remnate of Mindy left in Mad Mysta hopefully she’s somewhere in her fake memories, buried deep within.

Can a revival of Mordred be far behind?

I like how everybody, even Junior, is involved in this (Lee accepted but we may see her before this all plays out—same goes for Pat).

Wait, wasn’t she just kidnapped a month or so ago?

For the next two weeks, my guest comments will be written for me by Jack, the guy who lives on the other side of our back fence.

“Junior’s working his magic with a witness.” For those who do not know, or may have forgotten, Junior is the official police sketch artist. it took me a few minutes to realize what Lizz means – Junior is taking a description from the witness, and translating it into a drawing.

Sad. Wake me when it’s over.

Well, this is certainly a fun start to this story! The jelly doughnut mystery in entertaining, and the main story is intriguing. Art is interesting (different takes on the characters is, to me, the chief attraction of these Minute Mysteries.) And the question as to whether any of Mindy remains within Misty, or whether she’s been totally eradicated (murdered?) intrigues me as well. Should be fun!

well it’s already better than the main story

I believe that many of you are looking at this backwards. Our abductor hasn’t once called her Mysta, and Dick says it may not have been Mysta she was after. She also seems upset about some plans that were sold. I believe that Mindy Ermine and this woman were partners in a crime scheme, and Mindy double crossed her. This is all about revenge on Mindy Ermine. She may not believe that Mysta even exists. Going to be in for a big surprise.

We’re off to a good start here with the MinitMystery! Charlie’s versions of the characters have rather more tongue-in-cheek humor than Joe’s very straight-up versions, and the dialogue matches—love the jelly donut caper! This strange (to put it mildly) woman who has kidnapped Mysta, thinking her to be Mindy, obviously has a past history with Mindy; beyond, I am happy to wait and see. (Also, curious to see the “look” in the dailies and how it compares to this Sunday art….)

To me, the biggest mystery is why Honeymoon has a rotary dial phone. Aside from that, art is looking very nice. I really like the first panel perspective.
