She looks like she is getting ready to go for her guns at the slightest remark. Yet another last minute reprieve.

Her own version of snake oil.

(Didn’t even have to inject it.)

Yeah, the sunburn doesn’t hurt as much as the ‘I told you so’.

Today’s is like looking at a movie where the continuity errors are spotted when a scene was shot and then another was shot in the same location. Question/Point is how is Janis going to sleep on her back?

Been there once in my younger life and there’s no way. Even if the pain could be tolerated it would seem like being prone on a bed of coals.

At first I thought since it is her back that is burned and painful, why is Janis not lying on her stomach?! Then I realized that the blanket would be painful as well. Apparently, even the flimsy nightie is causing some pain too.

Arlo, get the Noxema and grease her up. She’ll fight at first but she will be so appreciative later. The “I told you so” attitude leads to perdition.

Not necessarily, Janis. Reports have said that the virus is doing just fine in the countries that are experiencing warm sunny weather. Faux news, please don’t spread it here.

I got a terrible burn once while lying on my back with my arms over my head. I did have my face covered with a towel, but sunburned armpits aren’t much fun.

It’s too bad people are so obsessed these days they can’t leave politics out of their comments. Okay, it’s okay for Doonesbury – but this is supposed to be for fun.

No! Not virus-free! The sun only burns (precious). Tolkien reference for anyone who didn’t get that.

Last time I got sunburned was on a trip to Mexico with a girl friend from college – so long ago that husband never has seen me with a sunburn and we have been together, friends, dating, engaged, married for almost 50 years.

Last time before that was when I was 4 years old.

She’s virus-free because she stayed home and got sunburned in her own back yard instead of a crowded beach that doubles as a petri dish.
