70 pen names… Editor: “Not one of your books has been sold” Paine: “OK, maybe it’s my pen name… I’ll change that…” Editor: “You did it 69 times already!!!! try writing something good for a change!!!” :D (Who the heck is that guy????)
couldn’t list any of the pen names? Paine adopted dozens of pseudonyms including Mark Carrel, John Kilgore, Clay Allen, A. A. Andrews, Dennis Archer, John Armour, Carter Ashby, Harry Beck, Will Benton, Frank Bosworth, Concho Bradley, Claude Cassady, Clint Custer, James Glenn, Will Houston, Troy Howard, Cliff Ketchum, Clint O’Conner, Jim Slaughter and Buck Standish among others
So the boats burnt, but the contents “survived”? I understand the boats would burn down to the waterline so below that would remain. I assume the board games were not made of boards.

Geesh—Who plays Parcheesi to the death??

I guess those Viking boats didn’t burn entirely, if they found remnants of board games.

Just imagine: Pauran Layne having 70 book signings all on the same day in the same location.

What a waste of a perfectly good boat. Why not just a small simple raft, & light it on fire?

At my age, maybe I should start eating bamboo too.

Dang. Pandas are constantly pooping. No wonder a group of them is called an embarrassment.

If one of those board games was Monopoly, now we know how the fire started.

I would bet that the predominant board game found was Hnefatafl. It’s really a great strategic game…

Did the Vikings get their board games on eBay? I may have been the seller, having sold over 9000 games there. lol

The reason for the boat was to carry the warrior to Valhalla.

PS to my last: The boat was usually an old one that had some significance to the warrior.

I’ve left instructions that the backside of my tombstone have “HA” engraved on it. That would represent my last laugh.

Panda poop every 30 minutes or does he poop in his sleep?

I’m guessing Paine annoyed a lot of people if he had to keep assuming new aliases.
