I miss fireflies so much.

The fireflies are so pretty. I miss them

I wonder if this is the one with the banjo and the crickets and frogs late night jigging with Baba Mouse. :)

I wonder if it’s something for Winifred Quinn?

Look at that smirk! Baba Mouse is really enjoying playing up the mystery.

I think sitting down and watching Fireflies would be grand! But then again… I’m afraid my cats would try to eat them. Then I would have to clean up the mess. Such picky digestors! :)

I wonder if Robin’s watching this ‘real life, late night, soap opera’ style mystery?

I love it that Agnes is hitching a ride on Baba’s hobo pouch!

Baba Mouse toe beans!

This particular strip would make a great poster…..the colors of the night sky, Agnes, and Baba Mouse are so beautiful. I have never seen Baba look so downright happy.

Agnes drops her mike and plays a soulful rendition of “Over the Moonbow” on her tiny sax as Baba sings:

Baba seems very happy about her mission, whatever it is.

A cryptic cat? A tight-lipped tabby?

Georgia’s art makes me think of this. Perhaps BaBa should see Pucky sitting on a rock and saying:

Lipstick, mascara? Agnes is doing it Fancy!

Agnes got this gig huh. Too much for the boys I guess. On location and such.

Was it a pair of sunglasses? That’s a LOT of fireflies.

The fireflies are magnificent and so is Baba’s toothy smile!

Agnes is the only robber mouse who has really claimed the reporters role. Not sure if she is an honorary cat for BCN or if BMN exists separately

Today is Typewriter Day. Yes, they are still made and used, especially manual ones. They have one very significant advantage over computers and other electronic devices: They don’t require electrical power. Small, lightweight, compact ones are ideal for a writer who wants to write where there is no source of power, whether it’s in the back yard or the middle of the wilderness.

I miss the sound. I wonder if anyone has ever made an application that would play the sound of a typewriter when using an electronic keyboard. I’d buy it.

Nor should the typewriter be dismissed as a dinosaur. It should be respected. After all, Silent Miaow and Honorable Cat, among other monumental works, were written on manual typewriters, and probably never would have been had it not been for these marvelous devices.

Baba Mouse should be careful, out late like this, she might wind up with a sticky wicket…

(No spoilers for the new kids here, uh-uh, nosiree!

And, yes, I, too, miss fireflies. And Firefly.

When I was growing up and we went camping in the UP, kids would run around at night trying to catch fireflies (or lightning bugs) because 3M was buying them to study what made ‘em fire. (I don;t recall that my sister or I ever actually kept any we captured, and that’s OK.)

Eventually, they invented chem-lites (or the process that allows them to be manufactured) and I would tell some troops under me in the Army about this, and they would stare at me and say “Lightning bugs? Fireflies? What are those?”

Kids, I tell ya’.

Fireflies or little winged mice with flashlights. Georgia will have to tell us.

A casting perhaps?

Such a good reason for a quest.

I wonder how Georgia makes those gorgeous night skies with all those stars with watercolours.
