They say ‘There is always one in a crowd’ But this crowd seems to be nothing but one group Heckler. Wonder if there is one who is secretly enjoying the show!
When the hippie protestors were at Berkeley Campus back in the 1960’s, Al Capp used to call them “Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything” … or “S.W.I.N.E.”
Tough Crowd. Little, though, do they know they still have the best of their world. They are so 2019. None of them are wearing masks, nor do they need to stand 6 feet apart! You don’t know how good you got it until it’s gone.
Some people are just contrary to be contrary. It’s the only way the know to get any attention at all. They’re not necessarily bad or wrong, they just argue for fun. Their bored.
It’s like a world full of Goldilocks’. Except they never find the “just right”. I’ve fallen down that rabbit hole many times. Nothing is as I WANT it to be, grumping my way along. It takes less energy to accept the bad with the good, so why would we go out of our ways to complain and be offended by everything? ¯\(ツ)/¯
only time i ever heckled a performer was an obnoxious amateur magician who asked us if we had any magic tricks we wanted to see. i asked him to pull a hat out of a rabbit. he said "You mean a rabbit out a hat, don’t you? and i said “any magician can pull a rabbit out of a hat, a really good one can do it the other way.”
Wow, talk about a recurring theme. I made a comment on today’s Free Range strip that deserves repeating here.
Have you ever found a joke hilarious when you know full well it offends some folks? I know I have and still do.
A really good joke requires a warped sense of humor to get sometimes. This surge in False PC is killing Comedy because people are way too oversensative and take offense too easily when none is intended.
…and if our country is ever invaded by a foreign nation, the snowflakes will the the first to throw up their hands and say “we surrender, please don’t hurt us!”
Unfortunately. And I do mean Unfortunately, this is the REAL reality, if that isn’t tautology. I am getting (no, I AM) fed up with the pseudo offended or professionally offended clowns who say they are offend e d and also that they are speaking for all others in the category.I think we should get back to the moon and the first lot of inhabitants should be professional offenders and idiot wokesters. And they must not have the technology to broadcast to earth.

Many professional standup comedians would tell you that’s typical for a college crowd nowadays.

How about throwing the pie at them and letting them find out whether it’s gluten-free or not!

Watch steve hofstetter’s act. He does a real number on hecklers. His take down of hecklers is my favorite part of his act.
